Maybe it is winter, finally?

We have had the mildest winter that I can remember since I have lived here. The ski resorts barely have any snow and we haven't had snow in our yard for so long. Well, on Saturday it rained all day, yes it has been that warm that it was raining, but at about 3 p.m. it finally switched over to snow. We have snow!!! The kids were so excited. They were kind of going stir crazy being in the house all day yesterday so it was nice to get out and play in the snow. Cruz was so cute, he totally wanted to pull Alegra around in her sled. They both had so much fun just walking around our circle. It was so cute!!!

FYI-Shawn has plenty of nicer bike shorts, he just tends to wear this lovely pair when he cycles inside! :)

Just Like Sis

I put some clips in Alegra's hair the other day and Cruz had to have the orange, green, and black clips in his hair. He wore them all day! :)

Alegra's 1st Haircut

Alegra got her first haircut today. She didn't really need it but she had some stragglers at the back of her head and I thought if she got a little cut it might start coming in thicker. Shawn LOVED her and was pretty mad I got it cut. I hope it comes in thicker now though!!!

Alegra was so good. She just blew the bubbles and sat in her little car chair. No tears for this one!!!

Alegra and I have been in a Little Gym class together this past fall and winter. We will continue through spring. She LOVES it! After I drop Cruz off at school on Tuesdays we go. Yesterday was Wednesday and she was so sad we weren't going again for the week. She is really good at doing somersaults, walking on the beam, hanging on the bars, and playing.

A Family Ski Day!

We all decided to go up to Snowbird to ski yesterday morning. Alegra has really been wanting to ski and I thought I would be fine on Chickadee following Cruz. Dad helped Alegra and Cruz and I skied some. It was fun because Mia and Sasha were up on Chickadee in a ski lesson (they came into town for the weekend). Cruz liked trying to find them or ski by them.

A night out!

Ryan, Naomi, and the kids flew into town on Wednesday evening. It was fun to hang out and spend time together. Ryan is part of a band, Late Night Alumni, and they put on a small performance on Thursday evening. Shawn and I went to the performance. It was fun to have a night out together. Actually, we had 2 in a row. My mom took all the adults that were in town out on Friday night for my birthday to Cucina Tuscano. It was excellent food and fun to be out with my sister, my husband, my mom, Ryan, Naomi, Russ, and Allison. All in all, it was a very fun few days of celebration for my birthday!

My kids and husband helped me have a great birthday. They all made a big sign for my 37th birthday. They had a treasure hunt for me to find some flowers. We all went to lunch together at my favorite place, Mazza, and lots of friends called, emailed, face booked, and stopped over.
Early morning!
Cruz came into our bedroom on my birthday and he whispers to me, "mom, don't worry, I am not going to wake you up, you can sleep in until you want to." Then he came back about 5 minutes later, "mom, I hope you are sleeping good." It was so cute!!!

Fashion Queen

Grammy gave the kids this house for Christmas and they love it. One day this week they had all their toys piled inside almost to the ceiling. We had to use "teamwork" to cleanup.
