3rd Grade Wax Museum

Today was the 3rd Grade Wax Museum.  Cruz had read a book and wrote and book report on James A. Garfield.  Today he dressed up as him.  It was so cute.  Shawn and I had both read a really good about this president and Cruz had heard us talking about it, that is why he decided to do read more about this president.  It was nice because he was the ONLY James Garfield in the wax museum!!

 Jake also picked someone that no other 3rd grader was.

Davis was a cute Steve Jobs as well.

antiques

 I am not much of an antique person, but these were in my moms storage closet and I claimed them.  The lamp with the dancing ladies was my grandmothers, Phyllis Toliver.  It is so pretty when it is lite.  The picture was painted by Clara Carlquist.  She is Frank Willmores (Phyllis' father) sister.  In other words my great grandfathers sister.

This lamp I remember in Grandma T's house, but it was Aunt Sue's before.  Aunt Sue, or Sue Narah was M.E.'s (my grandfather, Lynda (my moms) dad) sister.  She married Ray, a man that was born on the border of Lebanon and Syria and he moved to the U.S. when he was 9 years old.  He ended up doing very well financially in the United States.  Sue and Ray had 1 baby, but it died when it was born, the baby is buried in the Idaho Falls cemetery.

Alegra's 6 year old check up!!!

Alegra had her 6 year old check up today.  She was great during the entire time, but right when we were sitting there, she started complaining about her inner ear.  Our family has had the sniffles this past week, so sure enough, when they checked her ear it was infected.  It ruptured tonight, about an hour ago, that poor thing.  Other than her ears, she is doing great, which I am so grateful for.


Alegra is 46 inces tall (57%), and 44 pounds (41%) and her body mass index is 14.6 (32%).

She also had bangs cut tonight at her friends house (Channings mom is a hairdresser).

Ski Day!

It snowed on Wednesday and my mom and I were able to go up skiing on a blue bird day on Thursday.  IT WAS THE BEST DAY EVER!!! I thought the snow was awesome and it was fun skiing with my mom.  So glad I was able to find a sitter for a few hours and get out and have my soul rejuvenated!!!

Weekend

 I took Alegra, Channing, Lexi, Cruz, Jake, and Manny to see the new Star Wars on Friday afternoon/evening.  It was the second time for Cruz and Manny but a first for the rest.  They were good kids. I did get them all a slurpee and then a split a large popcorn among them.

 Lexi was a "pirate" all day on Friday.  She even went to the movie with her pirate hat on, as you can see from the picture above.

I got some new items from moms storage closet.  She was cleaning it out and there was some cool stuff in there.  This lamp is beautiful and it used to sit on my grandmothers piano.  This was my grandmothers lamp, Phyllis Toliver.  The picture was done by.....

Fat Lip

Lexi went on a walk last night with Shawn and fell.  She got a fat lip.  Tried to capture it this morning at breakfast!

Cruz went to school in pajamas today. His grade earned it by completing so many facts on the computer math program, Reflex Math!!!  He was very excited!!!!

My birthday....

Yesterday was my 41st birthday.  It still feels weird because I know that number sounds older but I don't feel old. I had a very nice day.  I kinda took it easy yesterday morning and got some things done around the house, like paying a few bills, etc.  I also talked to some of my family and friends that called to wish me a happy birthday.  I met Stacey for lunch and I was going to take the girls, but my friend Bev offered to have the girls, which was really kind.  The kids and I ended up meeting Shawn at Takashi, a sushi place, downtown.  It was fun to go downtown for dinner but we had to wait a while and although the sushi was good, I wasn't blown away.  I was just happy to be with my family.  Before we went to sushi though, our neighbors, The Claytons brought over this giant cookie for me and smaller ones for each of the kids and Shawn with their names on it.  We loved it.  It was a great day, even though I hate getting older :).

We ate this for dessert when we got home :).

My mom brought me my favorite flower, Tuberose.  They aren't super pretty but I LOVE how they smell!!!

Bye Bye T

Cruz decided to not have "T" anymore.  I was the one feeding it all the time and taking care of it and I felt bad because we never got him out of the cage.  So we listed "T" last night and we sold him today.  It was fast!! I was kinda sad when the people were caring "T" away but I think it is the best thing for now.

Karen posted this picture of K and my mom when we went on a boundary water trip with them.  Our hope is one day we can do this with our daughters.  Want to do this!!!!  Love this picture!

Rebecca and Baby Farrah!!!

We were so sad to see Rebecca and baby Farrah leave on Thursday of this week, but we were glad they could stay a few extra days after everyone else left!!!!
