Tramp Tricks and More

Not sure if I posted about this yet, but someday I will want to remember this "title".  So in google and for my email I was Kelly Frye.  Cruz decided to create a you tube channel with one of his friends and they named it "tramp tricks and more" because the you tube channel was going to review trampoline tricks and more (why not leave the door open for more options).  Anyway, I don't know how they changed my name but whenever I emailed anyone it came across from tramp tricks and more.  So once I figured this out I figured out how to change my name back to Kelly Frye.  I didn't really make a big deal about it to Cruz because I don't really think he knew what the other term for "tramp" is.  So I went about my way. Well,  a few months ago Cruz and his friend were back to making trampoline videos and before I knew it my name was, "tramp tricks and more" again.  Well, I went back in to change it and I got this message from google "you have changed your name 3 times in the last 90 days so you can't change it" or something to that effect.  I have spent hours trying to get a hold of anyone at google to help me with this issue and everyday I go on to my account hoping this is the day that makes it past the 90 days that I can change my name back.  I just have to laugh because it is so embarrassing.  So for now, signing off as tramp trick and more :)

Alegra's 8 year old check up

We were a little late on Alegra's 8 year old check up but she is healthy and happy and we are so proud of her.  She is 8 years 2 months old (as of yesterday)- She is 50.6 inches tall, which is 50%-She is 54 lbs, which is 35% for her age.  Alegra is doing well in school,  is a good friend, loves to have fun, and is really good at putting outfits together.  She is such a joy in our family.  We love you Alegra!

Lexi's first "Crush" or as she wrote "Crash"

Two days ago Lexi came home whispering to me that she had a "crush" on Soren.  A boy she now sits next to in her kindergarten class.  But she was so excited to tell everyone.  At first she kinda wanted to keep it a secret but then she told Cruz, Grammy, Alergra, and Shawn.  She has been wanting me to call his mom to set up a play date.  Today I found this note in her backpack.  She is too funny.  She says she still has a crush on Matt, but she had never told me that before. :)

Stacey came up and we went on a fun hike and then had lunch.  Such a fun afternoon!

Cruz's Science Fair Project 2018

Cruz completed his Science Fair project and had the 5th grade Science Fair today.  I think Shawn and I got a few gray hairs trying to get Cruz to actually "DO" something on his project instead of just saying, "I know what I'm doing."  Shawn was able to borrow a sound machine from work so Cruz did his project on sound.  How many feet away would you have to move away from a sound for it to decrease by 10 decibels.

Cruz's project turned out pretty good.  I saw a few I thought would be good for Alegra-testing the different water bottles that claim they stay cold for 12 or 24 hours (just borrow a bunch of different brands).  Or which liquid does a mento dissolve quickest in. I thought that was creative.

UPDATE:  Cruz came home and said he was 1 of the 8 finalist to make it to the district level.  Truthfully, I was in shock.  Not that he didn't work hard but Shawn and I really had to "sit" on him to do anything.

Elder Nelson

Today the church announced the new presidency.  Elder Nelson, who was the most senior member of the quorum of the apostles was called as president and prophet. He called Elder Oaks and Elder Eyering to be his counselors.  I loved hearing Elder Nelson speak today.  He is 93 yet very healthy and active, but crazy amount of responsibility.  He was a heart surgeon and a super smart guy.  I have really loved all his talks and think he is a super humble servant of the Lord.

MLK Day at the Zoo

We are having unseasonably warm weather right now so for Martin Luther King Day we went to the zoo.  Rebecca and the kids are still in Utah because their home isn't done but Dave went back to California to go back to work.  He flew out this weekend to see his family.  We all had a fun day at the zoo!

Family Ski Day

 Cruz had Adventure Team last Saturday but Shawn, the girls, and I went up in the afternoon to ski a few runs, picked up Cruz, and then skied a bit more.  We still don't have a ton of snow but it was such a pretty warm day on Saturday and I loved being at Snowbird with my family!

 Saturday night Shawn and I went out to celebrate my birthday.  We went to this foot place in Sandy for foot massages.  It didn't have great reviews but it wasn't super expensive so we decided to try it.  It was a nice foot rub but I don't think it was true reflexology, but it was still nice.  We grabbed a bit to eat at a new Greek place after.  Fun day and night!

President Monson

President Monson passed away Tuesday evening January 2nd, 2018.  He was a great man and a great prophet.  I have been taking screen shots of quotes people have posted of his and I am going to put them below. So many good ones.
