Rebecca, Farrah, and Pierce are leaving tomorrow to go back to California. They don't have their temporary occupancy but they think they will get it in a few days. Rebecca was here way longer than she anticipated but we have loved every minute of it (well maybe not the minutes our kids fought a bit:)). Really it has been so fun getting to know Farrah and seeing her on a daily basis and getting to hold baby Pierce. He is such a chunk and I have loved every second I got to hold him. We will miss them but I am excited for their new adventure.

SNOWSTORM
We got 20 inches of snow between Sunday night and Monday. And last night we got 6 more inches. We have had no snow and warm temps all winter - so I guess winter decided to show up-so good we need the water!!!
The Horning had Walker and Lucy's birthday parties at Airborne Monday morning so I carefully drove the kids to that.
We came home to play in the snow all afternoon!
My cute kids ready for school on this Tuesday morning.

Presidents Weekend in Idaho - 2018
The kids had Friday before Presidents day off of school this year so we headed up to Idaho on Thursday after school let out. We went over to Grand Targhee on Friday to ski. The snow was really good. Grammy, Rebecca, Farrah, and Pierce joined us in Idaho for the weekend as well. Rebecca and Grammy took turns skiing too. It was such a fun ski day!
Friday night after skiing we met Russ and Wendy and Matt at the Snake River Roadhouse in Swan Valley. Russ came up Thursday night with Grant, Walt, Sesario, and Nick (who flew in for the weekend) and a sons friends named Tanner. Wendy, Matt and their boys drove in Friday so we all met to eat.
Cousin Tea Parties are the best!
Can't get enough of Pierce!
On Saturday Shawn went skiing with Russ and all the boys at Jackson Hole Ski resort. The rest of us hung out at the cabin. We had fun just playing. We took the kids to sled at Pine Creek Pass and then over to the Victor Emporium for shakes.
Russ's family was planning on leaving on Sunday after church and our kids kinda caught wind of that so we all decided to clean up the cabin on Sunday and leave after church. I was surprised the kids didn't want to stay through Monday because we love the cabin, but in hind sight I'm glad we came home because we had a massive snow storm in Utah, Sunday night into Monday!
Too Cool Alegra when we got back Sunday night!

My cute lunch date!
So I have to admit I'm not that great at checking my kids out of school to do special things with me. I am just such an advocate for kids being "in school" that I forget about little moments I can have with them. Alegra didn't have school on her birthday this year, it was Thanksgiving break time, so I had promised her I would take her to lunch for her birthday. It took until February 8th, to follow through. She wanted a special lunch with just me and her, so I took Lexi to my moms house and then we ran for a quick bite to eat. We were literally gone for just her recess and lunch time and it was SO FUN. I'm glad I got that one on one time with my sweet girl.

Esme and Alegra
We have been getting the girls together on Friday afternoons and they have been loving it. They are good little friends!
Farrah and Baby Pierce
Poor Rebecca and David are still homeless. They were kicked out of their apartment on January 8th and their house is STILL not finished. Dave has come back to Utah to visit Rebecca and the kids a few times but it has been crazy. 6 weeks at Grammy's house!! I have loved having my sister around and getting to hold baby Pierce. For the most part the kids have loved having their cousins around, but Alegra got very upset with Farrah tonight because she likes to go into their rooms and mess things up.
Superbowl 2018 - New England Patriots vs. Philadelphia Eagles
Fun Super Bowl on Sunday. The girls had a blast at dancing to Justin Timberlakes half time show. Fun game with the Eagles winning.
Science Fair
Cruz was 1 of 8 kids chosen from his school to move on to the district Science Fair. Last week he set up his poster at the District office and was interviewed by 3 judges (while parents waited outside).
We found out last Friday that he made it to the next round, the regional Science Fair. So proud of him!
