 Our ward was having Stake Conference so we took the opportunity to go with Grammy to Uncle Russ's ward because he was speaking in church. He gave an excellent talk.

 Shawn went to Wisconsin one the weekend.  He has to work in Chicago this upcoming week so it was a good inexpensive way to go and spend time with his mom.

  On this beautiful Easter morning, I extend greetings to each of you and express personal gratitude for the life and ministry of Jesus Christ.

  We worship Him who commenced His infinite Atonement in the Garden of Gethsemane. He was willing to suffer for the sins and weaknesses of each of us, which suffering caused Him “to bleed at every pore.” He was crucified on Calvary’s cross and rose the third day as the first resurrected being of our Heavenly Father’s children. I love Him and testify that He lives! It is He who leads and guides His Church.
  .
  Without our Redeemer’s infinite Atonement, not one of us would have hope of ever returning to our Heavenly Father. Without His Resurrection, death would be the end. Our Savior’s Atonement made eternal life a possibility and immortality a reality for all.
  .
  I testify that He is the living Christ—our Lord and Savior, Redeemer, Exemplar, and Judge. Thanks to Him, no condition is hopeless. Brighter days are ahead, both here and hereafter.

Easter Week

We had a great time reading and thinking about our Savior Jesus Christ this last week.  Each night we would discuss what Christ did that day on His last week of his life.  Last Sunday we created our Easter tree.  We cut down branches from a blossoming tree and added sweet pictures from Jesus's life.  His miracles, blessings, births, teachings, atonement, death, and resurrection.  I pray that my kids will gain a testimony and LOVE for their Savior!!!

We love Olive

Olive had her spay surgery this past Tuesday. The house seemed so quiet without her here. She stayed overnight at the vet's.  We brought her home Wednesday and she seems to be doing well.

Cruz's 1st time to the Temple

Cruz and I went to the Temple together for the first time to do Baptisms for the Dead.  It was the first time Cruz had done baptisms. It was so special and the temple workers made it so special for him.

Sunrise Cafe

Alegra and Shawn created "Sunrise Cafe" and made us breakfast at the cafe last Sunday. It was super cute!!!

Quick trip to Idaho

We drove up to Idaho Friday afternoon for a quick trip.  We haven't been up there since November and we were all craving a little Idaho time.  We had fun fishing, taking walks, watching General Conference, and hanging out!
