Memorial Weekend in Idaho

We took Kathy and headed up to Idaho for Memorial Day weekend on Friday afternoon.  It was a bit rainy and chilly but it was still a nice weekend.

Saw this moose just sitting and eating when we pulled in.  I was able to weed the yard and the kids played on the razor.   We went over to Jackson Hole one day too.

stopped at the top of the pass for a family photo!

Lexi's 1st grade program

Lexi was so brave and sang really well at her first grade program.  She also told her teacher she would do a speaking part, which we were all shocked about, but she was amazing.

Grandma Frye came into town and was able to see Lexi's program.

We love Mrs. DiPietro. She has been all 3 kids teacher.  She really is amazing with the kids.
Lexi showed us some of her art work that was in the halls.

Decorating the graves

Grammy is still out of town so we stopped on Thursday night to decorate the graves.  My mom had ordered a beautiful bouquet for my dads grave and then I got some mums for my grandparents graves.

Knee Surgery for Shawn

Shawn tore his meniscus a couple of months ago and yesterday he had 50% of his meniscus removed.  Heres to a good recovery!!

Murphy's decided to be Shawn's friend :)

New puppy-not ours :(

Raddon's got a new puppy - Ike.  We had to go met him on Sunday. He is super cute!!!

Birthday party

Lexi was so excited to go to her very good friend, Vera's birthday party.  Lexi met Vera this year in school and has talked a lot about her.  She hasn't had a playdate with her this year but Lexi really likes her.  Vera's birthday was Saturday night.  She had it at a hair place.  The girls dressed up, got their hair and make up done, and had their fingernails painted.  Lexi says she doesn't love that stuff, but she was a good sport.  She was so excited!

She's the one in the blue dress :)

CFC Girls 09 Red Team

Alegra played her last 2 games of the season.  They won Friday night 3-2, but they lost Saturday afternoon 4-1.  Her team and Alegra have improved so much this spring season.  Alegra is really beginning to understand the game.  She is a great striker (center defender) and she is great as a forward, she just doesn't get to that position as much.  I am so proud of all her hard work this season!!! Its been a fun soccer year!!

Career Day at Granite

Friday was Career Day at Granite Elementary.  Alegra chose to be a photographer and spend hours getting little things ready for her camera bag the night before, and Lexi chose to be a fisher person.  Both cuties!!

Lexi had a headache this morning and so that explains the pained looked.  We just went to Dr. Pete about her headaches and he basically thinks they are from lack of sleep.
Lexi trying not to look so pained!!

 Love this picture!

Happy Mothers Day 2019

I LOVE being a Mother.  There is NOTHING ELSE I would rather be.  Although I get frustrated and lose my patience I love these 3 so fiercely.  I am so grateful for my own mom and for Shawn's mom for being good examples of a selfless mother.  My mom left for a big trip to Romania, Hungary, and Rome-so excited for her but we didn't get to celebrate with her today.  Had fun celebrating with my little family!!!

flat Alegra

Flat Alegra has been to Wisconsin, Florida, Dallas, but she likes home best!!!!

Cruz's Duet Piano Recital

Yesterday Cruz had his duet piano recital at South Town Mall.  He did really well.

Look Dad, I caught the yo-yo!

The zoo

Fun day at the zoo last Friday.  We met Stacey and Esme there.  It was a perfect temperature and we also timed it right to be able to have the girls feed the giraffes.

Friends

Channing and Kate.  Good friends of Alegra's.

My Baby Turns 12 (wipe away the tears :)) sniff sniff

We started the birthday celebration off on the Friday before Cruz's birthday. I checked him out of school about 20 minutes early and we headed to the mall.  First stop, Apple store, for Cruz to pick out the iPods he has been asking for.  That was a very expensive gift, so that was his main present.  In the mall we passed these fish tanks and he had to try it.  He said it tickled. Afterwards, we ran to the food court in the mall to pick up some Panda Express for Cruz-he loves it!!  That was a fun little way to start the birthday celebration and to get some one on one time together.

Sunday morning, birthday morning.  Pancake breakfast before church.  We also got Cruz a new outside basketball that he has been asking for.  We went to church and then after church we went to Grammy's house for Sunday dinner with the Raddon's.  Grandma made Mexican food to celebrate "Cinco de Fryo"!

I made Cruz a Texas Sheet cake by request for his birthday cake.
On Monday I checked Cruz out of school to spend an entire day together.  That was another one of his wishes.  I had been feeling kinda bad because I really didn't pre plan anything for his birthday, but we really did pack it in.  I LOVE SPENDING TIME WITH MY BOY!!!!!!  We started off the beautiful day going mountain biking over at Corner Canyon.  It was Cruz's first ride of the season.
Then we came home and showered quick and met dad for lunch by dads work.  After lunch we went to the aquarium, per Cruz's request.  It was helpful to have Shawn in town because he was able to meet the girls after school so Cruz and I weren't rushed to get back home.  We both loved the aquarium and it wasn't busy at all.  We picked up Crumbl cookie on the way home to finish off the celebrating!!!!  Such a fun birthday.  Can't believe my baby is 12.
