We love Sunday Dinners at Grammy's!

 I don't really post too much about Sunday dinner at Grammy's, but we love them. Grammy cooks dinner for us and the Raddon's about twice a month-which is  huge undertaking because Grammy is feeding about 16 people.  They are always delicious meals, reminding me of my childhood. Tonight was a true roast beef dinner, mashed potatoes, and rolls.  She is a master cook and I love her food.  So glad our kids have these memories.  Tonight Greenbay Packers were on t.v. so these two were busy watching :).

 Alegra really wanted a lemon cake with coconut frosting but for ease up at Snowbird we decided on rice krispy treats.  I owe her a lemon cake :).

Party time!!

 On Saturday Alegra had 2 indoor soccer games.  I love watching her play indoor and I LOVE this team she is on. They are the older girls and they are sooooo talented.  It is fun to see Alegra play with girls that are passing the ball well, spacing out, and making amazing shots.  Alegra made a goal in the first game, which was exciting.  After the first game we went and grabbed a quick bite at the bakery at Gardner Village before returning to the facility for the second game.

 We came home from her games and had a couple hours to get ready for her party.  Alegra invited 10 girls for her 10th birthday (Audrey, Sidney, Kate, Channing, Grace P, Ivy, Bella, Emalee, Chloe, Alex).  We opened presents first at the house because all the girls brought such big presents.  Then we took them up to Snowbird (with the help of grammy).  We got them ready in our free rooms that we had for the night (from purchasing ski passes).  Swam and then ate pizza.

 We went back to the room to get the girls changed and then walked over to Tram Car pizza.  It was a bit of chilly walk, but fun. We then took the girls home.  I hope Alegra had so much fun!!! Can't believe my baby girl is 10!!!!

Alegra turns 10!!!

 Alegra's birthday was this past Friday.  Dad was in Alaska and I wanted to make it really special.  We all went to "Black Bear Diner" for breakfast.  Alegra wasn't feeling to great, so I was a bit worried.

 The girls went to school and then I picked them up right when school let out to go to the new release of Frozen 2.  It was cute!  Then we came home to have an hour rest and eat a quick bowl of oatmeal (that was Alegra's choice, I said we could go out but she wanted oatmeal and home time).  Her tumbling recital was from 7-9 at Jordan High School that night.  She did great!  Elle is in her little tumbling class too. I love the place she takes from because they push her but it isn't a pressure filled place.

The Raddon's, Grammy, and us stopped at Baskin Robbins for a quick ice cream treat to celebrate Alegra's birthday and both girls doing great in their performance!

 We sold the girls car, both their knees were squished up to the front, so we decided to let some other family have fun with it.  I have lots of fond memories of watching them play in this!

 Cruz has really been into drawing lately and he is drawing some cool things!

Alegra came home with this award the other day-Appreciating different perspectives.  I'm so proud of her hard work!

SANTA!!

Last Saturday my friend invited us to an event where Santa would be there and we could get pictures with him.  I love my past pictures with the kids with Santa, so I quickly ordered some sale pajamas so they could all be matching. I think they turned out pretty cute!

New Room

Alegra has been wanting a new room set up for some time now.  I decided to do it when she agreed that it would be her birthday present, since it would get a bit pricey ordering a new chair, lights, decorations, etc.  It turned out so cute!!!!

Spending Time Together

I feel like we are at that crazy time in our lives that kids have activities at all hours of the night, so I LOVE when we just have some quiet family time.  I really try hard and so believe in family dinner time, that hasn't been happening so well this fall, but I have been trying to create little moments where we can be together and just Be!!!

"Superior"Score for Piano competition

I'm really proud of Cruz, he isn't playing anything too hard, but he got a "Superior" score at a recent piano competition.

Last Game of Fall Season/date night

Alegra had her last game of fall soccer season on Saturday. It has been a tough season, with no wins, but they have improved as a team, so that's good!

Shawn and I got all gussied up to go to an OUR (operation underground railroad) gala on Saturday night downtown.  I really support this organization, trying to rescue child sex slaves.  It is a hard topic to discuss and think about, but it is happening all over the world and this non-profit is trying to save children!!

 I was at the school helping yesterday and saw Alegra at work in her junior coaches position.  She was so cute helping the 2nd graders (of which Lexi was one of her group).

It was COLD trick or treating, probably about 20 degrees, the coldest Shawn or I could remember.  Cruz really didn't do too much, Alegra went with some of her neighborhood friends, and Shawn, Lexi, and I hooked up with the Claytons and kinda followed Allegra's group for a bit.  Fun night!!!
