Valentines and Catching up!
We have loved soccer this year because Alegra has made really good friends with Grace Packer and Anna Schmidt, who are a grade above her, butt the same birth year.
Lexi has been loving playing indoor soccer. I love that she is keeping up her skills and she has a great coach and a team she is comfortable with.
Dad was in San Francisco on Valentines so we all wrote him notes to take in his bag, but he packed so tight he had to open them before he left town. Lexi had wrapped her note up tight with lots of rubber bands and pencils. It was so funny. I love seeing her spelling on this note. It is so cute!
Thursday night, Feb. 13th Cruz had his last basketball game. This season was a little tough. But, I think he learned a lot!
My "Olive" socks Shawn left for me on Valentines Day!
Pancake breakfast for Valentines morning. Lexi woke up at 6:45 so excited and was like, "this is the 2nd best day next to Christmas!" I don't know what she was expecting but I hope the day lived up to her expectations!!
The girls made cute and creative boxes at home. Lexi found whale tape and Alegra decided to make an elephant. Both really great!
I got to help in Alegra's classroom on Valentines!!
Ezra, Rich, Ryan, and Isla came into town for the weekend. On Friday night (Valentines) we all went to Cubby's and then to the Curiosity Museum (because Grammy has a pass). It was so fun to hang out with them Friday night and then ski all day Saturday together.
On Monday, Presidents Day, the kids actually had school to make up for a snow day 2 weeks prior. Alegra ended up missing the whole day of school because she went up to Alta with the Hansens. I checked Cruz and Lexi out at 11 and I dropped Cruz off at Snowbird with a bunch of his friends to ski and Lexi and I went over to Alta and met up with Alegra and the Hansens. It was such a fun day of skiing!!!

Lexi's Last Junior Jazz Game
Lexi had her last junior jazz game. She has had so much fun playing this season. For her first season, she really picked up the sport and a love for the sport. She became a good dribbler and very good at defense. Love that she loves basketball!!!
Her smile is killing me these days. She's not really sure what to do with her lips and her braces -LOVE IT!!!

CRUZ GOT HIS BRACES OFF TODAY!!!!
Cruz got his braces off today. His appointment had to be during school because it took a couple of hours for Silcox to remove the braces. Shawn was available and around so he took him to his appointment and then took him to celebrate "NO BRACES" at KFC after. We forgot a before picture but I found one from Christmas and then a picture of after. Cruz is such a handsome boy!!!

Cruz
Last weekend and this weekend Cruz participated in freeride ski competitions. Last week was at Snowbird and he practiced his line a handful of times before competing. Today was at PCMR. He had never even been on this mountain, so that made it a bit more challenging. He thinks he did o.k., which is all that matters but he didn't love the lines they had to choose from, so we probably won't choose to compete there again.
These were the lines at PCMR (above) to choose from
