Late soccer and b-ball!

Alegra had a futsal game last night at 9:10p.m.  in Lehi!  Lexi brought her b-ball to shoot hoops during the game.  It was a late game but both the girls looked excellent last night!

Cruz had skied all day with his ski team so he stayed home to chill. He was trying to set up plans with friends but nothing panned out.

Announcing Heath Ryan Jackson

aka Bear!   Rebecca is amazing.  She started having contractions last Saturday at about 2 in the afternoon.  They weren't too close together until about midnight.  When David and Rebecca got to the hospital she was dilated to a 9 and she had baby boy about an hour later.  They had a hard time naming him but they finally decided on Heath Ryan Jackson. I love it!  Can't wait to hold him.  He was born on Sunday February 13th at 2:30 a.m. He was 7 lbs 4 oz., 19.75 in. long.

Love finding random pictures on my phone!

Last Saturday

Last Saturday grammy spent a beautiful sunny day with the Jacksons waiting for the baby to be born.

And Lexi had a tough b-ball game!  She is really loving basketball!

Snowbasin Ski Competition!

8:00 a.m. gondola load to go to inspection
waiting at the finish area to go up for his run
After he skied his run. He was doing good but then fell at the end, his coaches said he was "snow snaked".
Yummy lunch at one of the restaurants at the top.  We had such a fun day together, it was a bummer his run didn't get better, but I had such a fun day with my boy!

Valentines a Day early

Shawn was going to be out of town for Valentines day so we celebrated on Sunday with the Super Bowl.

Cupid found our house and brought the kids new bath towels and a frozen fruit ice cream maker to share.
Shawn got the girls and an IOU for Cruz - new rings!  Mine to match his wedding ring!

Lexi's Greenbay Valentines box for school on Monday!

Photo session for Alegra!

Jam Session!

Micki's daughter Gretchen is a really great electric guitarist and Lexi went over to see all her guitars and jam out. After leaving her house, Lexi was convinced she needed an electric guitar.  Gretchen actually said they are a lot easier to learn on.

Lexi sending Micki and Gretchen a text thank you with the picture below :)
The next morning we went to the guitar shop and bought Lexi's birthday present from us and grammy!

St. George Soccer Tournament for Alegra

Alegra's team was in the 7 Elite Tournament in St. George Thursday February 3rd - 5th.  Lexi, Alegra, Grammy, and I drove down to St. George on the evening of Wednesday February 2nd.  I got a discount for the team at the Staybridge Suites.  About half the team stayed there.  The girls had a team lunch on Thursday at Viva Chicken and then a 3 p.m. game. They played great and were a far superior team.  On Friday their game was at 2 p.m.  This team was a lot tougher and they ended up tying this team.  Their third game was at 10 a.m. on Saturday morning. They ended up winning that game, which got them into the championship game verse the same team they played Saturday morning.  Their game was at 7:00 p.m. and it was cold, brrrr.  The other team came out much stronger than our team and we ended up losing 0-2. This tournament was a hard one for Alegra because she saw the bench a lot.  She came home determined to put the time into soccer and talk to her coach to figure out what she needs to do. I am proud of her response!!!

Home Learning Ski Day!

The kids had a home learning day on Friday January 28th - so a bunch of girls from Alegra's soccer team met up at Alta to ski for the day.  Lexi, Cruz, and I had fun skiing together too, and then Cruz ditched Lexi and I for his friends.  Lexi and I had a blast and then finished the day with a big plate of fries and hot chocolate!!
