Skiing with cousins!

On Thursday Lexi and I went skiing in the afternoon at Alta.  Afterwards, we went over to Snowbird to hang out with Aunt Katie and then hot tub and swim with Isla, Alegra, Cruz, Andrew, Ezra, Clara, and Uncle Rich 

Then Grammy and Russ brought up pizzas and we had a fun pizza dinner in Rich and Katie's room with the crew that was in town.  

Alegra got to spend Tuesday - Friday up at The Cliff Lodge with Isla and Alegra. The skied together and had a blast!

Christmas Decor 2023.....

 I am debating taking down decorations today, but I have loved how the house has looked and felt this December Christmas season.  I took some pictures to remember it by.  It didn't feel like too much or too cluttered.  I have plenty of decorations and don't need more (reminder to self for next year when all the decorations are in stores again).  

I also really liked this idea I saw and maybe if I post it I will remember it for next year.  A dad made a puzzle for each person in the family and then on Christmas timed them to see who put their's together fastest and they got a cash prize!

Ryan and Isla and Skiing!

 Ryan and Isla came into town yesterday afternoon.   The girls went to dinner with Russ, Grammy, Ryan, and Isla and then Alegra went up to Snowbird to stay with them and ski with Isla today!

Alegra was the first one up this morning at 7:20, dad was out walking Olive so she waited until 8 a.m. to wake up Lexi and Cruz.  

Patiently waiting.....

We had them check out their stockings first, which had layes in them, surprising them with a trip to Hawaii on January 9th!!!! They were so excited!!!!

Finishing up our game of Monopoly after present opening and breakfast casserole!  

 We went over to grammy's at about 3:30 for Christmas dinner. Rich, Katie, Clara, and Ezra were there and Russ, Elle, Walker, Grant, and Madi.  Macy and Brayden stopped over to say hi before dinner.  It was a nice evening filled with yummy food and LRC, as usual, it got intense!

 and all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse!

Christmas Eve

 We were lucky enough to have Christmas Eve on a Sunday.   We had a wonderful 1 hour church service where we got to sing, hear the choir, and listen to speakers.  I also forced family pictures before church! 

We were going to have Grammy and Russ over for dinner but they were tired so it was just our little family.  We had a really nice evening.  We had instapot chicken and green salsa soup that was yummy for dinner. Then we pulled out Monopoly and played for a while and then watched a movie all together - the newerish Indian Jones movie.  While Shawn and I were cleaning up the kids played this volley game together and were actually playing and having fun together.  It was such a nice Christmas Eve!
