Presidents Day!

The one benefit of Alegra's team not doing so well in her tournament is that we got to come back early and had Monday at home.  We went skiing as a family for the morning!  It was so fun and the snow was so good!  

Cruz met up with Andrew and the rest of us left to get In and Out for lunch and go to a basketball training for Lexi, Alegra hung out with friends, and Shawn left for a work trip. It turned out to be a great Presidents Day!

Mesquite Presidents Tournament for Alegra

 Alegra and I got up early Thursday morning to drive to Mesquite to start her tournament. Her first game was on Thursday at 4:45, she was having a short team meeting before the game so I wanted to get down there and get settled.  Unfortunately they lost their first game.  

Friday, the girls didn't have a game until 5:45 p.m.  We decided to drive into St. George and see if we could go to the Red Rocks Temple walk thru (the Temple hasn't been dedicated yet). I thought there would be a long line, but we were able to walk right up and go in.  It was so pretty and unique inside.  

We shopped, ate at an Acai place, made a couple of more stops and then headed back to Mesquite to get ready for the game.  It was a really fun morning/afternoon.  We played a Surf team that night that the girls ended up losing 2-1 too.  It was sad because Alegra's team was the better team.  That night Rocky and Jayme had planned a team dinner and it was a great thing after a bummer of a lose.  

Because they had 2 games they lost, we were put in the consolation match.  They played that Saturday at 12:30.  They won 1-0.  Alegra had an amazing shot on goal that should have been counted because the goalie crossed the plain, but he didn't count it.  Glad to pull out 1 win!

That afternoon we went back into St. George to go to some thrift stores and eat dinner at Tifany's Crepery, the girls love this place.  

Lexi, Cruz, and Dad held the fort down at home.   They used the new air fryer Friday night to make mozzarella sticks.  Went basketball shoe shopping on Saturday night.  Cruz skied with friends on Saturday.

Valentines Basketball game for Lexi

 Lexi has a late basketball game on Wednesday February 14th, valentines day.  We had a nice day.  And Lexi had an awesome game.  

SuperBowl 58 for Kaskade

 Ryan was the first DJ the super bowl has had!  It was huge.  He got air time during warm up and between 1st and 2nd quarter.  It was a low scoring, tough fought game between the San Francisco 49rs and the Kansas City Chiefs.  In overtime, the Chiefs won.  

We had Russ, Walker, and Elle over to watch the game at our home.  Grammy is in Hawaii with Susie.  It was so fun to see Ryan on the tv!  We had yummy food - artichoke dip, 7 layer dip, a buffalo chicken dip, and chips and salsa.  Turkey, Provolone, and yummy buns with the DODO barbecue sauce and salad as our main and a chocolate peanut butter poke cake for dessert.

 Lexi went to the BYU basketball game on Saturday night with Uncle Russ, Walker, and Elle.  Walker brought this big flag and they made it onto ESPN!

Sweethearts Dance For Cruz

 Capri Colemere (it was a a girls ask dance) asked Cruz to Sweethearts Dance.  

SUPER BOWL 2024!!!!

 

Ryan was asked to be the first in person DJ at the Super Bowl this year!  They orginally asked DJ Tiesto, but he had a family emergency so they called Ryan on Monday night.  Tomorrow is the Super Bowl.  I am so excited and proud of him!  Praying it goes amazing for him!

Bball and Thai

 Lexi had a bball game last night and we got Cruz and Alegra to go.  Cruz stayed until halftime and then left to go to the high school basketball game.  The 4 of us tried a Thai Restaurant that is close to BWill.  We haven't been able to find a new Thai restaurant since our favorite Thai place, High Note, closed.  

Cruz Well Check

 Yesterday afternoon Cruz had a well check/physical for Lacrosse.  He is 72 inches tall, 176 lb, with a body mass of 23.9.  He is such a cute kid!
