New Home
Our new home-it has beautiful views!
As of Tuesday February 19th we became new homeowners. It is very surreal but we are VERY excited. For those who don't know, it was a long, messy ordeal and an emotional roller coaster....but we made it and we have a home to show for it! We are not sure when we are going to move in yet. We need to get some new carpet in because the previous owner let their dogs have their way with the house. Our current home is under contract, so we are hoping and praying everything goes through with that.

More Teeth, by Cruz
I have more teeth! On Saturday my top right tooth came through. The tooth just to the left of that tooth is also REALLY wanting to pop through...AND I have one on the bottom next to the two that are already up that wants to come through. Boy, teething is pretty painful though. For you adults, daddy says it would be like a sharp Dorito getting lodged in your gums. I have had a couple rough nights due to the teeth, but hopefully the worst is over. Mom has been really working hard to get a picture of the teeth on the top, but I have made it as difficult as possible. The picture on the blog is the best she has gotten. I look all slimy in the picture because I am eating bananas.

Chloe and Cruz
My friend Lindsey Fisher was in town and today Cruz and I went to visit her and her daughter Chloe. At first when she told me she was coming to Utah I was really bummed because I thought she was going to be in Utah the whole time I was in Denver, but luckily she stayed in Utah a couple of days longer. It was so fun to see Lindsey and Chloe. Lindsey is one of my dearest friends, she is a real sweetheart and so is her daughter. We tried to get a picture of Cruz and Chloe and it was a bit challenging. The one I posted is the best we got.

Valentines Day and Denver #6
Cruz helping me with the wash
We had a bit of snow here in Denver. It was kind of weird because everyone here was acting like it was this huge storm. It snowed maybe 1 or 2 inches. Schools were delayed, driving was slow going, etc. I have to say Utah handles snow much better! Cruz had a great first Valentines Day. I made a Valentine Theme Dinner for the kids. We had waffles in heart shapes, strawberries, and pink milk (strawberry milk). The drinks were served in red glasses. I had the "cupid" trick today too. I told them that Cupid was watching them, and if they behaved today, he would bring a treat. It sort of worked, and they were happy with the bag of treats cupid brought. Cruz wore a shirt that said, "I stole Mommy's Heart". Boy is that true....I love that kid. And I must do a shout out to my true love Shawn. Happy Valentines Day to my two boys!

Denver-Day #5
Aela, Aidyn, Walt, and Cruz
Aela, Aidyn, Walt, Cruz and Grant
Aela (1 year old) and Cruz (9 months)
Aidyn (3) and Walt (almost 3)
We had a good day today. The boys didn't have school, so we stayed home and played. Shawnee, my cousin, lives in the area and she came over with her 2 sweet girls. Aidyn is 3 and Aela is 1. At first Grant and Walt were very shy but eventually they warmed up. The boys have this cool roller coaster thing in the basement. We all went down and played. It was fun to see Shawnee and her girls. Tonight the 6 of us each made a valentine cookie and decorated it. It was a fun filled family activity, and we only had 1 meltdown during it...therefore I feel like it was a success! :)

Denver-Day #4
More pictures of Cruz and the dogs
I took the 3 boys to McDonald's Playland today for lunch. All of them had a great time, even Cruz. They had this mesh netting that Cruz was loving hanging on to.
Later in the afternoon the boys decided to take a tub tub. They have this huge tub that is fun to play in. They all had fun in the bubbles.
About 5:00 p.m. we had total melt down at the house. Georgia was picking on Walt and he just started screaming.......at about the same time Cruz started crying....Cruz was playing near Grant, so I asked Grant what he did, and then Grant started crying.....I had all 3 boys in meltdown mode. It took several minutes to get everyone calmed down. That was a little crazy!

Denver-Day #3
The boyzzzz
Some classic one liners from this week:
Walty: "Aunt Kelly, where IS you?" yelled throughout the house all day long.
Grant on driving up to the Chick-Fil-A: "I love this Chick-Fil-A, there were HOT girls here last time." He is five. I asked him what hot meant, and he said, "good looking!"
My college roommate Amanda lives near Castle Rock. She came over to visit today. I haven't seen her in a long time. It was great to get together and chat. Her little girl is so cute, her name is Lola. Amanda and I were both commenting on how crazy it is we are both moms now.
Cruz and Lola playing with tupperware
Cruz has learned that he can pull on Spanky's hair. Spanky doesn't like it too much. I am working with Cruz to be soft, but so far no luck. He just chases the dog around the house trying to grab at it. The dogs are in a bit of a catch 20. They love eating all the food that falls off Cruz during meal time, but they don't want to get too close because they know he grabs.
Classic moment from today: Walt was standing on the bottom of the stairs. I was cleaning up in the kitchen. All of a sudden he got hysterical. I ran over to him and it looked like he got slimmed. It took me a second to figure out and then I got it....one of the kids spit on him from the upstairs. It landed square on his face. After screaming for Macy and Grant to get downstairs I found out Macy was the culprit. I immediately sent her to time out! I couldn't help but laugh when no one was looking, she has pretty good aim. It was a pretty far drop!

Denver-Day #2
"Check this miniature door out!"
"Ha Ha, it swings back and forth!"
"What you talkin' about Willis?"
I briefly entertained the thought of taking the kids to church, but quickly decided it would be better for all parties involved (including the congregation) to stay home today. As you can tell from the pictures above, Cruz discovered the doggy door. It was hilarious, he would push it and then laugh, over and over again.

Denver-Day #1
Walt and Cruz
Grant, Cruz,Walt, and Macy
All the kidos!
Russ and Ali left this morning. The kids are good, but boy, I have my hands full. Just keeping track of 5 kids is tough, plus they have two little yorkshire terrors. Cruz discovered their food today. He thought it was one of his treats. I quickly had to move the dog bowls. We had a good day.....we went on a long walk around the neighborhood and I took the kids to Chick-Fila for dinner. I promised that all day if they were good....it was a little more than I bargained for, but we all survived. I do think the people in the place thought I was crazy, a single mom with 5 kids.....

Denver
Cruz and I flew to Denver this evening. For the next 7 days I am going to be the mother of 5, yikes! My brother Russ won a trip through his company to Hawaii. I came out to tend Russ and Ali's 4 children, ranging in ages from 9 to 2, plus Cruz. I think I am going to have my hands full. Actually the two oldest, Georgia and Macy are old enough to help. Then there is Grant who is 4 and Walt who is almost 3. It will be a good experience for me. The kids are so in love with their cousin Cruz, I think he is going to get lots of attention this week. Cruz did really well on the plane. We were actually on the plane 45 minutes longer than we were supposed to be due to airport delays. He didn't cry or anything he just moved around the whole time. He is such a busy body.

Picture Perfect
I took Cruz to get some 9 month pictures today. I was really excited to get these done because I found a photographer who takes great baby photos. Her best stuff is actually newborn, but she does really original baby shots too. I am bummed I didn't discover her until Cruz was a little older though. We will get the pictures in about 2 weeks, I can't wait. He was such a trooper. He moves so quickly though, it was a little challenging. While he was dressed so cute, I took some photos on my own when we got home. Her is our sweet little boy......he was on the go and wanted the camera!

Our SIt Sleeper
I have to tell a funny story about Cruz. Yesterday we were over at Wyatt's house for morning nap. When it was time to put Cruz down I put him in Wyatt's crib. He got a little upset, and I can't blame the kid...different bed, different room, etc. It took about 10 minutes of crying before he fell asleep. When I went in to check on him he was in the sitting position with his head in between his legs. I wish I had my camera with me it was funny and sad. Poor little guy, he was determined to stay up and cry and then he must have got so tired he just fell forward. I must say, he is flexible. I moved him to his side as gently as possible and luckily he kept on sleeping.

9 months
Guess what guys? I am 9 months....by the way, this is Cruz if you weren't sure. Wow, these 9 months have sure flown by, but boy have I learned alot. Let me tell ya what's going on with me right now. I love to eat, but my mommy and daddy can't feed me anymore. I need to do it by myself, if they try to feed me, then I get really frustrated and scream and get food everywhere. Some foods I am trying are banana, bread, pasta, peas, cheese, and puffs. I love to stand up to anything I can. I love to practice walking holding on to the couch, its the perfect height. I love to crawl up the stairs and I love to move. I love to be in the water, either swimming or at bath time. I love to giggle. I love to show off my 2 bottom teeth. I am working on getting one of my top teeth, my gum is actually black and blue. I love to give open mouth kisses, and if I am feeling like it I love to wave bye bye to people. I love to wave at myself in the mirror and I love to find my reflection in glass. I love to squirm when mommy and daddy are changing my diaper, and I love to give them a hard time when it is time to put the pj's on....hey, I can't be perfect all the time. I love to practice ba, da, and mmmm sounds. Mom is working with me to learn how to clap, but I haven't gotten the hang of that yet. I love to be around other kids. I make friends everywhere I go. So far, life is pretty good. Both pictures today are after meal time. I love to get my hands all dirty with food and then run my fingers through my hair, how fun!!!!!! :)
