Grandma Frye made a chocolate cake today with Cruz while she was babysitting him. I have had the opportunity to work (substitute) a few days while the Frye's have been in town. I took this picture after Grandma F. gave Cruz some chocolate frosting on a graham cracker. Cruz proceeded to lick off all of the chocolate without touching the graham cracker.....how do they know chocolate is so good that young?
It has been interesting being back in the classroom. I haven't substitute taught much this year so it was kind of weird to go back to teaching. On Monday I happen to substitute an unruly class. I couldn't believe how rude the students were, how mis-manored they were, and just how plan outright disrespectful they were. I am writing this to remind myself that I want to raise children that can respect others, peers, adults, friends, teachers, etc. Today was a lot better, but I have to say I am still blown away by the way kids can talk to adults.....I think I would have gotten my mouth washed out with soap! Don't get me wrong, there are still some sweet, polite, nice kids in the school but there are definitely some kids that need a kick in the pants!

Amen, sister!
Chocolate is the best!
Sorry your sub job wasn't so fun. There are always those kids (and parents) that make you wonder why you wanted to be a teacher. It's kind of scary to consider what our world will be like in 25 years!! Yikes!
