Our kitchen cabinets were this pink white wash look-not horrible but not the look we really wanted. The problem was, they are in great shape and very functional so we really couldn't justify even looking into new cabinets. We decided to do a test run and stain the inside of one of the cabinets. We ended up liking it and it was a less expensive option to fixing "the look" in our kitchen. We had the guys that helped us paint some of our rooms in our home stain/paint the cabinets. I feel a little out of sorts this week because my kitchen was torn up and it was kind of a last minute decision. What do you think? We like it!
AFTER-still messy but you get the idea....waiting for some of them to dry still!

in the pictures you posted, it looks like they did a fabulous job on the cabinets. are you happy?
It looks fabulous! I'm in the same situation where I want a new/fresh look in my kitchen but can't justify changing out the cabinets. I have oak (it's terrible, I know) and I'm thinking about painting them a mocha color like your island. I'm a little scared to mess up so I'm going to experiment with my bathroom cabinets first. I hope they turn out as nice as yours look. Are you happy with it?
I like them...have to see them in person too, but by the pics...I like them a lot..what do you think the odds are of the guys riding up on the snowmobiles to do ours!

wow, nice work! i think it looks great! (and i know, b/c i watch a lot of hgtv!) i just realized i haven't been to your new house! i guess every time we've been to utah, we met up at other people's places. next time. miss u!
