3 months old!
Alegra turned 3 months old on the 22nd (2 days ago). She is the cutest little thing ever. She has started sitting in her bumbo chair and I think it looks so funny. Here is the little person sitting up! She still LOVES to be swaddled. When she gets fussy or tired I know if I swaddle her it calms her right down. She is getting so she can hold her head up pretty high too when she has tummy time. The last few nights she has made it from her 9 p.m. feeding until 5 in the morning!! We are happy about that (rather, I am happy about that). Despite being a little tortured by her brother, she is so happy go lucky. Cruz loves Alegra, don't get me wrong, he just wants to play rough and tumble with her!

Haircuts
Cruz and Daddy had a boys day today! The two of them went to a Mountain Bike store to check out some Yeti, Trek, and Gary FIsher Mountain bikes. Then they went to lunch and had their haircut. Today was the first time Cruz had his haircut at a Big Boy Salon. They went to the place that Shawn normally gets his haircut and they were able to get haircuts at the same time. Shawn was sitting behind Cruz and he said it was so funny when Cruz discovered that he could see his daddy in the mirror!
Other happenings at the Frye Household:
Shawn: Sprained his ankle playing basketball Thursday night
Kelly:Finished "To Kill a Mockingbird" and really enjoyed it!
Cruz: Wants to wear his green soccer shirt and shorts all the time, "just for fun", even if it is winter
Alegra: Pooped today after NOT pooping for 6 days...I think our little girl will be feeling a lot more comfortable these days!

Swan Valley
Cruz checkin' for wild life!
Seeing if using Grammy's reading glasses will help him see any better!
We went to Swan Valley, Idaho for a long weekend. Shawn ended up working a lot so we could leave Thursday night after work. We ended up skiing at Grand Targhee, just outside of Driggs on Friday. It was very nice because my mom came with us. Between the 2 of us we bought one ticket and would swap watching the kids. Cruz, Grandma, and Shawn started out skiing first (Alegra and I hung out in the lodge). Then Cruz was done skiing and Grandma watched Cruz and Alegra while Shawn and I took a few hours to ski. Grandma and Shawn ended up finishing the day with a few runs too! The snow was incredible, fresh powder, but the visibility wasn't great. Nonetheless, I love that resort and always have a great time there. The kids were really good too! Alegra just went with the flow. I had several people comment that I was starting her pretty young :)! Cruz did a great job skiing, probably his longest run yet, and then had a wonderful time playing in the lodge. There was another little girl in the lodge that was Cruz's exact age, so AnnaTaylor and Cruz played well. On Saturday we just enjoyed our time around home. It was a beautiful sunny winter day in Swan Valley and we all went on a walk, played in the snow, rode the 4-wheeler (Cruz likes to call it the 3-wheeler), watched the wild turkeys, took naps, made Valentines Day treats, and hung out! We headed back home Sunday afternoon.

Cruz having the time of his life on the ATV!
It was fun to spend time with Grammy this weekend. She has been very busy since Alegra's birth so it was nice to have some down time with her!

Come and Play
Cruz saying, "Thomas (as in Thomas the train)"
Cruz LOVES to play. He LOVES to play with all of his toys and he really just loves to PLAY! Last night daddy and Cruz were playing with his train tracks. It has been fun recently to listen to him play while I am doing the dishes or something. He is so creative and I love to hear him pretending. Usually after dinner he will say to mommy or daddy, "come play" and run into his playroom!
I love this picture, you can tell how much admiration Cruz has for his daddy!
Blessing Alegra
Valentines Day Cookies
Cruz helped me make Valentines Day Cookies on Saturday. Cruz says, "I LOVE Valentines Day!" Little buddy, do you even know what it is? Anything to do with candy and cookies he loves! When we were making the cookies he would say, "just a little bit" and want the whole cookie. He does this sweet little face when he wants something he knows I don't want to let him have.....boy, does he know how to work the system! :)
