Fun in Swan Valley

We had a great time in Swan Valley. Russ, Ali, Georgia, Grant, and Walt were there (Macy went to her other cousins in California). Ryan, Naomi, Mia, Sasha, and Isla flew in on Sunday night just in time for the 4th. Grammy and us were there and it was a blast!!! We had a great weekend and had fun playing with all the cousins. Shawn ended up staying until Tuesday evening. Shawn, Russ, and Georgia all went back on Tuesday evening. Ali and her boys left on Thursday and the rest of us left on Saturday. Cruz was so upset when I told him we had to go home! While Shawn was there we got to do a Mountain Bike Ride together, which was really beautiful, all the wildflowers are out. Shawn also did a road ride from the Swan Valley place over the Victor Pass, up the Jackson pass, through Jackson Hole, down the Hoback Junction, along the Palisades Lake, back to home. 110 miles in total with a ton of hills!!!! On Tuesday before he left he did a Mountain Bike with Russ where they started in Little Elk and road up and over into Waterfall Canyon and down through Palisades. Up on top of the ridge there was probably still 6 feet of snow they had to trek through. Shawn thought it was about a 20 mile bike ride, but he thought they hiked about 8 of it because of snow and very technical.

Shawn on his one "easy" ride that weekend, the one with me.

Shawn and the kids "hanging" out on Red.

Alegra was a crack up on this, she kept trying to hang from the bars. Alegra was totally into riding the ATV and Red. If anyone went without her, she had a total melt down. Then when she wanted to go she would go and find her bike helmet and have me put it on and then lead me to the machines.

Playing!

The kids had a blast playing with their cousins. We went to Heise on Wednesday. There is a pool, a fun water slide, and hot pools there. It was a prefect day for Heise because it was warm and sunny all day. On Thursday we had hot dogs for lunch in the fire pit and hung around and played. On Friday our neighbor Burt took us up to the Lake on his boat. The kids tubbed and Ryan, Naomi, and I all surfed. The water is still very cold because it is basically snow melt water. The kids only went on the tub because Burt promised not to get them wet. Cruz got up the courage and got into the water at the end but he freaked out because it was so cold once he was in :). Friday afternoon we drove over to Jackson Hole so the kids could have a horse ride. We packed up and drove home on Saturday. We decided to stop in Idaho Falls and go to the zoo to break up the trip for the kids. Every day was so amazing! We love it up there, especially when we have cousins to play with!!!

The many faces of Alegra while eating snacks!

Mia reading Cruz and Sasha a story
The kids coloring, they got along so well!
Grammy and her babies. Alegra would definitely get jealous when Grammy was holding Isla.
ATV time with Grammy
Boat Fun!
It was so funny when they were out on the tub. One kid wanted slower, one wanted faster, we couldn't keep them all happy :)
Ryan after surfing
San Clemente Raddon's, minus Isla. Grammy stayed home with the 2 babies while we went out on the boat.
Getting ready to ride horses!
Cruz on his horse, "Brownie". After he finished riding he said to me, "guess what mom? Brownie tooted when I was riding him!"
Alegra was so excited to see the horses. She loves animals.
Alegra got a little turn to ride "Brownie", she loved it!
There was a playground right next to Snow King lodge where we road horses. It was perfect because we could take the babies there while the kids were on their "lead around".

After riding horses, going to the playground, eating dinner in jackson Hole and doing a little shopping, the kids were at their whits end. Alegra was being such a goof ball, she was trying to put her bottle and sucker in her mouth at the same time and she thought it was so funny. I guess if I was that tired I would think it funny too!!!
Moose sighting! I actually saw several Moose this trip. There were 2 young Moose right by my parents home that Shawn and I saw a couple of times. I saw one on the island across from the cabin, and then we saw this one when we were leaving Jackson Hole.

He loved pushing her
