Shawn completed the Leadville 100 mile mountain bike race today. He rode it with his friend Jeff Martinez. Because they had never competed in this race before they got placed basically last in the line up. Shawn said he was barely pedaling the first 2 hours of the ride. The boys actually stayed together in the race, which Shawn said ended up being very nice. They completed the race in 9 1/2 hours, pretty amazing!!!! We decided me and the kids wouldn't go because of the long drive and difficult support stations. Matt, our friend ended up being the support guy for Jeff and Shawn and his wife Laynee. All 3 of them made all of the cut off times throughout the race and completed a very challenging ride. Way to go!!!
