Alegra's birthday bash!

Alegra really wanted to have a party with Esme and Tyler. I was originally going to have them all go to build a bear but I wasn't sure how to coordinate that plus I thought that might get expensive.  So, we had a party for Alegra on Saturday night. It was fun. Esme, Stacey, and James came and Tyler, Matty, and Summer came.  Craig was out of town.  I made homemade Mac N Cheese, a pomegranate salad, and strawberries.  I even made a homemade chocolate cake for Alegra's birthday cake (which I don't think she actually likes chocolate cake but that is what Tyler said he wanted).  The theme was Hello Kitty!  It was a great party. The kids had fun, the adults got to get to know each other, and it was a good number of people, not too overwhelming!  Alegra got girl Lego's from Tyler, a Princess coloring satchel from Esme, a Dora reader from Cruz and Lexi, a makeup kit from Shawn and I, a doodle board from the Wilkens, and a Leapster Barbie game from Grandpa and Grandma Frye-plus a homemade dance bag from Grandma Frye.  I can't believe my baby it 4!!!!

Alegra's 4th birthday!!

Can't believe she is 4!!!!!!

Alegra's birthday fell on a Friday this year.  We had a fun, low key day.  Alegra's friend, Esme came over for a play date from 10-12.  Then Esme had to leave to go to preschool and at Alegra's request Grammy Raddon brought Costa Vida lunch to the house.  She requested lunch to be brought in! She wanted quesadilla, rice and beans, and sauce to dip.  Grammy brought Alegra's gift too.  It was a build a bear car that Alegra really wanted.  After Grammy left the boys (Ethan and Cruz) came home from school.  We all played for a bit. Ethan got picked up and then we headed to Build a Bear.  Dad met us at Build a Bear at 4:30.  We have never been to Build a Bear and it was a lot of fun. The kids got to pick a bear/animal of their choice, it got stuffed, a heart added, bathed it, picked out clothes, and then got it a birth certificate.  It got packaged in its box (which was very important to Alegra).  It was fun (and a bit pricey) but a good birthday thing to do!  We went to California Pizza Kitchen for dinner (that was Alegra's request).  It was a very nice low key 4th birthday!
