We had a pretty fun Christmas eve yesterday. Shawn had to work so the kids and I along with Macy, Grant, and Walt went to see Penguins of Madagascar. It was a really cute movie and we all had fun being at the movies. We came home afterwards so Lexi could take a nap and then once Shawn got home from work we headed over to the "Rali's" at about 4:30 to celebrate. We had 3 gingerbread houses for the kids to decorate. They teamed up and they ended up so cute. That took a bit. Ali had appetizers out and we started the pizza. We had yummy Lou Malnatis pizza for dinner. It tasted so good!! After we cleaned up dinner we put on the "nativity". That was so cute and fun. Ali had all the costumes, so that made it 10 times better. After the Nativity reenactment, we then played these bells/[pipes that Ali had. She wrote numbers on a big white board and we all held different numbered pipes that made different sounds. We played some Christmas songs and it was a lot of fun. After the music, we then had our white elephant exchange. That was fun too. I don't think I have ever actually done a white elephant game so it was fun and the kids got a huge kick out of it. It was starting to get kinda late so then we ate a quick dessert of either sherbet, chocolate cake, gingerbread men, etc! Then it was off to home. I had a great time and I think it was such a fun and memorable evening for the kids!!!
Loving her some fruit by the foot that was supposed to be for the gingerbread house!!
