Mothers Day Weekend in LA

Ryan announces a show at the LA Convention Center about a month and a half ago.  It sold out within hours (that is 20,000 people).  A few days later Ryan sent the family an email saying how excited he was for the show and if we could make it, he would love to have us there.  So all of my siblings and spouses and grammy decided to go.  Shawn and I had already planned on going to Santa Fe the weekend before so we knew we couldn't go.  But then I got thinking about it and if I could get a cheap flight, I could share my moms hotel room if Shawn was willing to stay home with the kiddos.  I discussed it with Shawn and he was ok with me going.  I am so glad I went. I wish Shawn were there though, but it was fun to be with my siblings at Ryan's show.  We have all gone to various shows but we have never all been at a show together with my mom, so that was fun!!  It was a total production to, so it was so amazing to see.  Mom, me, Russ and Ali flew out Friday afternoon about 5:00.  We got to LA and met David, Rebecca, and Farrah at the rental car place.  We all fit in 1 rental car and Russ drove us to the Marriott, that is right next to the Convention Center, in a new area of LA called, LA Live.  We put our bags down and went and walked to a Mexican place for dinner.  Ryan had a show at the Palladium that night so we didn't see Ryan or Naomi.  On Saturday it was kind of a rainy gloomy day. So Rebecca, mom, and I went to the fitness room to work out.  We grabbed a bit of breakfast at the hotel and then decided to do a little shopping at Zara, which was only a few blocks away.  It was fun to shop with Rebecca and Mom.  We walked back in time to meet Ryan, Naomi, and Naomi's parents for lunch at Wolfgang Puck, that was right next to our restaurant.  It was a really fun lunch and several fans spotted Ryan and offered to buy the table dessert, etc.  After lunch Ryan had to get ready for the show but we followed Naomi and her parents to the Pop Up Shop they opened just for the show about 30 minutes drive away.  Naomi basically let us raid (I tried to be careful) the back stock room of merchandise.  I got the boys a couple shirts, a couple bags, and 3 beach towels with the "Kaskade" logo on it.  We were there for a while so afterwards we Russ drove us back to the Marriott to rest and relax.  Grammy and I watched the BYU Mens Volleyball National Title, but they lost so that was a bummer.  At 8:00 p.m. we met in the lobby along with a bunch of Ryan and Naomi's friends to take a bus to the loading dock of the Convention Center so we could get in the back way.  We got all our credentials and wrists bands on so we could get to the green room.  Up in the Green Room they had Chipotle catered in for everyone and there were a ton of people in the green room.  I can't believe how much work must go on to make everything happen.  I thought the show was amazing!!! I loved it.  On Sunday Russ, Ali, Grammy, me, David, Farrah, and Rebecca met for a quick breakfast (after not too much sleep) before they headed to church and I headed to the airport.  Ryan had an after party so I think he played till like 5 in the morning, yikes!!!  Shawn and the kiddos picked me up at the airport at about 2:30. It was fun to spend the rest of the day with them and see the hand made card they made me.  I LOVE being a mom!!  I LOVE my family.  This was a pretty memorable mothers day and I appreciate Shawn so much for letting me have such a fun Mothers Day weekend!!!!
