We got up early on Wednesday morning May 3rd to get to Disneyland 20 minutes early to get through security and check point lines.
We went to Peter Pan's Flight first, which I read was the best thing to do, but it broke down so we ended up waiting close to an hour for the ride, ugh! Disneyland seemed crowded to me, but I asked someone that worked there and they said it wasn't bad!
Cruz and I rode Star Tours.
The Jungle Cruise
In Line for the Haunted Mansion!
Splash Mountain!
I pushed the kids and grammy hard but we were able to ride all the rides we wanted to. Rebecca and Farrah left the park after we ate lunch at the New Orleans Cafe (grammy and I ate the famous Monty Crisco Sandwich) and the food was amazing! Naomi brought Isla out to us and the girls had fun at the Bibiddy Bobiddy Bo Boutique.
So fun to hang out with Rebecca, Grammy, and Farrah. We ate lots of Churros, had a Dole whip, waited in lines, and saw the Electric Parade in the evening. We went hard but it was so fun!
Dave requested this picture!
Grizzly River Run, where we got soaked!
Thursday May 4th, while we were on the carousel, I got a text from a teacher at the school letting me know Cruz achieved a student council position for 5th grade. We found out later 7 girls were selected and Cruz. He was so excited and it was a pretty fun way to find out!!!
We stayed all day at California Adventure as well. We did take a break and watch the "Frozen" show that was amazing. We were able to ride all the rides we wanted to in this park too. We stayed for the evening show, "World of Color". Disneyland ended up staying open till 11 because it was May 4th (May the fourth be with you), so after World of Color Cruz and I ran (rather sifted through crowds) to ride Big Thunder Mountain one more time. I thought it would be a fun birthday thing to do. We were so tired after riding the ride so we headed back to the hotel.
FRIDAY MORNING MAY 5th. In the morning we packed up and headed over to a Disneyland hotel for a breakfast with lots of the Disney characters. It was Cruz's 10th BIRTHDAY!!! He was such a good sport with the characters. He wasn't as into it as the girls but he was such a good sport!!
After breakfast we drove to Santa Monica to see Ryan's studio and go to the beach (it was a little chilly so we didn't get our suits on or anything, the kids just had fun playing in the sand).
Aunt Naomi had this beautiful cake for us at their house when we got there! Rebecca and Farrah left Friday evening.
On Saturday the plan was to go to the beach, but is was super chilly and rainy so we made a last minute decision to go to Universal Studios in Hollywood. I am so glad we went. Cruz is really into Harry Potter right now and they have this entire Harry Potter land and it was so cool. We took Sasha, Clara, and Isla with us and we all had a blast!!!We watched this Water World live show that was so cool!
Diagon Alley-Butterbeer-Hogwarts-it really was amazing!!
Lunch in the Hogwarts cafeteria.
We bought the front of the line passes at Universal, which was a smart move. We were able to see and do everything we wanted by 4 p.m. and not be as tired as the 2 Disney days. It was such a fun day and a really fun birthday thing to do for Cruz. We came home and got take out, swam in the Raddon's really heated pool, and had movie night. Such a fun trip!!!!
