Alegra had a tough game on Saturday against Park City. It was a pretty morning, but unfortunately they lost.
My friend Ann and I went hiking to Catherines Lake this morning - the fall leaves are gorgeous right now!!
Shawn, Kelly, Cruz (17 years old), Alegra (15 years old), and Lexi (12 years old).
We've had a busy week this week. It was Alegra's parent teacher conference on Tuesday night and then Alegra had a game and then Lexi's parent teacher on Wednesday night. Alegra is doing great in her classes. She hasn't had the easiest adjustment, but you wouldn't be able to tell from her grades. She has been having stomach pains and not feeling well many of the days. I am not sure if it is stress/anxiety related or another issue going on. It is hard to tell with stomach issues what is causing it. She also was really sad about her soccer lose last night. Its a team they have been wanting to beat. She was frustrated with her play. She has been putting in lots of extra time and she is not seeing it pay off.....I told her to be patient, that some coach, and at some time it will come out.
Lexi also had a great conference. I am a little worried about her reading/writing/spelling and I believe it is all tied to a slight learning disability. Her teacher, Mrs. Nicolich, has been great to get her the tests she needs. I don't think she will qualify for any additional help through school, but I think I need to start working with her more on taking her time writing, things about letter and number direction, and not letting her skip words when she reads.
The 4th graders got to go to "This Is the Place" for their field trip. I was selected as one of the parent helpers. It was fun being with Lexi and her group walking around to the different stations. We had never done the pulling the handcart experience so that was fun! A family favorite is the panning for gold!
Darn it, loaded in reverse order again. So from newest pictures to oldest. Alegra did a photo shoot with Olive on Sunday night....she had found some sunflowers she thought were pretty!
