We've had a busy week this week. It was Alegra's parent teacher conference on Tuesday night and then Alegra had a game and then Lexi's parent teacher on Wednesday night. Alegra is doing great in her classes. She hasn't had the easiest adjustment, but you wouldn't be able to tell from her grades. She has been having stomach pains and not feeling well many of the days. I am not sure if it is stress/anxiety related or another issue going on. It is hard to tell with stomach issues what is causing it. She also was really sad about her soccer lose last night. Its a team they have been wanting to beat. She was frustrated with her play. She has been putting in lots of extra time and she is not seeing it pay off.....I told her to be patient, that some coach, and at some time it will come out.
Lexi also had a great conference. I am a little worried about her reading/writing/spelling and I believe it is all tied to a slight learning disability. Her teacher, Mrs. Nicolich, has been great to get her the tests she needs. I don't think she will qualify for any additional help through school, but I think I need to start working with her more on taking her time writing, things about letter and number direction, and not letting her skip words when she reads.
Yesterday was picture day at school - Lexi came home with a pink mustache and eyebrows drawn on her face. She told me she did it before pictures were taken. She was pulling my leg!!!
I had a beautiful fun morning yesterday, getting to mountain bike with my friends!
This picture below was on the wall outside of Lexi's classroom
And her cereal box book report, displayed in the library.
I LOVED THIS MESSAGE BELOW FROM MY FAVORITE INSTAGRAM ACCOUNT. I could literally save all her posts.
Another instagram hack that I wanted to remember for cooking!
LEXI had her first away game last Saturday and she looked so sharp in her new uniform!
Last Friday night both Alegra and Cruz were at the Brighton football game, so the 3 of us went on a date to Hendels.
