Catch up

 

The pictures loaded from newest to oldest from this week.  I took Lexi to the doctor today.  She has been hit in the head pretty bad 3 times this week, so we wanted to check for concussion.  There is really no test so if she is having any symptoms she needs to rest. Its called a slow return to play.  

Shawn made it back from Lakeview Oregon last night where he picked up our new car yesterday morning and drove the 8 hours home.  He tried to bargain with the car dealership to have them throw in some stuff but the guy said if we hadn't put money down on this car, they would have listed it for $5000 to $10,000 more than we paid - that's how crazy the new car market is, ugh!  

Last night Kate Martinez, Cruz's date for Homecoming (HOCO), said yes.  Cruz knew she was going to go with him, but for some reason they wait to say "yes" in a cute way the week before the dance.

Cruz played in 4 lacrosse scrimmages on Saturday up in Farmington.

Our new car, the dealership sent this to us on Saturday. Shawn flew to Oregon on Sunday using miles to pick it up!

Bye Bye Yukon

 Our Yukon got up to 103,000 miles. We decided we were going to trade it in and get a newer diesel one.  It will get better gas mileage, be under warranty, and be newer.  We listed it on KSL and we accepted an offer of $37,500.  It was really sad to see it drive away.  We had TONS of good trips and memories in that car. Thank you for being so good to us!!!

The couple paid us in cash. They seemed like a nice family the car was going to. I got pretty emotional watching them drive away though.  I really loved that car!

I'm going to post all the pictures Shawn took of it.  It still looked really good!

Fun Friday and weekend!

 

The theme was "Camo Out" at the Brighton High School Football game Friday night.  Cruz went all out!  He has been wanting one of these suits for his airsoft wars with his friends anyway!

Friday morning was the Granite Elementary Fun Run. Couldn't believe it was the last Fun Run for our family! Lexi did great!

Shawn work party at the Zoo!

 

We had a fun night at the zoo last night for Shawn's work party. It was really nice because the zoo was closed to the general public but we could walk around.  It was such a nice temperature and such a pleasant evening.  I missed Cruz, but he no longer wants to hang out with us at all :(.  Luckily the girls still will hang out with us!
