We had a fun Labor Day weekend up in Idaho. Cruz got invited to his twin friends (Luke and Sam) cabin for the weekend, so he went there. The girls, Shawn, and I left Friday night after Alegra performed in the half time show at the Brighton Football game. It was fun to see Walt play (it is his Senior Year). We pulled into Idaho at about 12:30. Aunt Susie and grammy were already up there. On Saturday we let it warm up a bit and then took the boat out on Lake Powell. Russ ended up driving up with Grant, Elle, and Walker. Russ moved out to my mom's house about 2 weeks ago. That is a sad story, Russ and Ali are going through a hard time in their marriage. I hope they will be able to work it out and learn to be nicer to each other. They joined us on the boat and we had a fun afternoon. Palisades was pretty crowded and only 1 side of Calamity boat launch was accessible (due to low water level) so it took a bit to get the boat out. That night Jeff Goddard came over for dinner and we made hamburgers. On Sunday we went to church and Shawn did his annual road ride, the loop up to Jackson Hole, back down to Alpine, and then home. It is 109 miles of tough riding. He did it though! Kinda crazy that he can do that! That afternoon the whole group piled into Russ's van and took a scenic trip up to Jackson Hole to have dinner. On Monday Russ and and Grant floated grammy and Aunt Susie on the Snake and the rest of us went up to the lake. It was a bit less crowded and we were able to find the hot pots on the side of the lake. We came back to tidy up the cabin and were on the road to come home by 4. We missed Cruz but he had fun with his crew as well!
