Cruz is off to Mozambique!

 Cruz has had a busy and great start to his summer.  Last week he went to FSY down in Provo with Jake. He got home on Friday evening. He had the weekend to hang out with friends and then on Sunday we buckled down and got everything laid out for his Mozambique HXP trip.  On Monday, for most of the day,  he helped Jeff Schmidt on his farm up in Oakley. Monday night had cooled off and was a gorgeous evening and we had fun watching Cruz and Alegra juggle and get along.  Tuesday Cruz finished up his packing, got snacks, and hung out.  Shawn took Cruz and Alegra up the canyon on Tuesday night to get some energy out before Cruz started on his adventure.  The evenings have been so gorgeous.  Shawn and I took Cruz to the airport at 9:30 p.m. for his midnight flight to NYC.  I just spoke with him this morning. He has found the group in NYC and now they are waiting for their Kenya Airways flight that leaves at 1:30 for Mozambique.  He got a middle seat and didn't sleep much on his red eye, which is a hard way to start a trip, but he sounded happy when I talked to him!  

Lexi was out playing with neighborhood friends on Monday night so she wasn't around and on Tuesday night she had just gotten home from basketball practice and was worked, so she didn't join them at Lisa Falls!
