I drove home from taking Lexi to school and I just loved how the porch looked. It cooled off this morning and I was just so grateful for this house and my kids and my husband and this beautiful area we get to live. I had to just capture the peace and gratitude that was in my heart this morning.
Before the boys got home yesterday afternoon/evening.....the girls and I headed up Little Cottonwood. Lots of other people had the same idea, so we drove all the way up the summer road to see if some of the traffic would dissipate. It was such a beautiful drive with the trees, the sunset, the clouds, and some rain.
We have been in the 90's all week...it has been hot. Chloe invited Lexi over to her pool to swim after their game on Saturday. So nice Lexi could go and cool off.
Shawn and Cruz got up early Saturday morning at 5 a.m and headed to Swan Valley. They picked up some fence posts on the way up and started working the minute they got there. They took down 3 cottonwoods and 3 Hawthornes - Loaded the trailer up and took it all to the dump. They worked their butts off. They had a little time to get the boat out on the water (it was 90 degrees on Saturday) to surf and barefoot.
The girls and I had a free Thursday afternoon before Lexi had to go to basketball so we headed to "This is the Place" monument park to the barn where a fall boutique was set up for the weekend. It was fun to hand out and look around with my girls!
Lexi is so proud of this bowl she created in her very stressful 3D art class. I am so proud of her hard work and her creativity!
Grandma Frye was here this past week. She was able to see Lexi play in a basketball game, go to lunch with Cruz, see Alegra play in a high school soccer game, bake, hike, walk Olive, and stitch with the girls.
These loaded backwards, but it looks like they had so much fun! After the dance they went to Brigg's house to change and hangout until they went to Classic from 12-2.
