We left on Saturday February 15th, 2025 and came home yesterday Saturday February 22nd, 2025. We flew into Puerto Vallarta and got a bus transportation to Dreams Bahia Mita Surf and Sand Resort. It is about a 30-40 minute commute north of Puerto Vallarta. It was a dreamy week. All the kids that are in high school and down were invited. Russ, Elle, and Walker did not come due to issues with the divorce, so they were missed. All in all we had 17 - Rich, Katie, Ezra Raddon.....Ryan and Isla Raddon.....the 5 of us Fryes.....Rebecca, David, Farrah, Pierce, Vaughn, and Heath....and GRAMMY. This trip is all thanks go grammy! We had beautiful weather, the food was excellent, and the resort was new and nice....just very large.
By the time we got to the resort the sun was setting......we saw a beautiful sunset and then got dinner at the firsta. Rich, Katie, and Ezra arrived that evening

Everyone took turns surfing. I even attempted going out and the time I went out there was a photographer in the water so I got a picture of me standing up. I surfed the least out of Shawn, David, Rebecca, Farrah, Cruz, Rich, and Ezra, but happy I got a picture :)
It was fun to have a great beginner break right out from the hotel. Unfortunately the beach wasn't great for playing in the ocean right in front of our hotel but we were able to walk across some rocks to get the the Grand Palladium hotel where they had a nice sandy beach. The rocks were a little bit of a challenge for grammy to get over so unfortunately she wasn't able to get over to that beach to watch the kids.

Cruz surfed Monday through Saturday every day for a couple of hours and was able to get up and surf the waves.

Ryan and Isla left on Thursday afternoon so we all met at the beach on Wednesday night to take sunset pictures as a family. Ezra unfortunately didn't make it down but we got some nice pictures!

Cruz and Lexi looking at sea life. Our beach with all the rocks was REALLY good for this and walking to the other hotel to play in the water wasn't that big of a deal. It made for an adventure!
Shawn, Cruz, Ezra, and Lexi did an ATV excursion and the Jacksons, Grammy, Alegra, and I took a taxi into Sayulita for a few hours (about 25 minutes from our hotel).
Grammy bought the grandkids bracelets at the beach vendors and she was admit to get Rebecca and I something - even though she has given us sooooo much. Rebecca and I picked out matching rings to remember this trip by!
Hill run Shawn and I would do in the mornings on the side of our hotel.....Lexi and Alegra joined us on Friday morning to run it!

Lexi got her hair braided on Saturday before we left for the airport. She was super excited about this. We had such an amazing week. It was so nice to be with family. It was nice to spend time with Rich and Katie as they are processing the lose of their home and all their things and their way of life. It was nice to spend time with Ryan as he is navigating an impeding divorce. It was nice to be together. To get some sunshine. To walk, to relax, to exercise, to eat good food that I didn't prepare, to get vitamin D and to spend a week away with family! So grateful!
