The kids and I were not really sure what we were going to do on this day off for Martin Luther King. Dad had to work so we were kind of undecided. Carter's family ended up calling and inviting Cruz up to their cabin across from Brighton Ski Resort. We got all loaded up and headed up the canyon. It was such a beautiful day. The Kehl's cabin was amazing. The girls and I stayed for a bit and chatted and sledded. The kids in all the cabins were sledding just along the roads you drive on up there. The road right by the Kehls was the perfect pitch. Fun but not too fast!! We left to take Lexi home for her nap and Cruz stayed up there with them. Kelley ended up taking Carter and Cruz skiing later in the afternoon. Cruz had a great day. After Lexi's nap, the girls and I decided to run to the mall to return a ski jacket I had bought for Cruz. Cruz has grown out of his Patagonia and I found a Columbia Ski Jacket at Dillards for a good price. I had bought 2 sizes because I wasn't sure which one would fit, we ended up keeping the bigger one so hopefully it will fit next season too. Anyway, I needed to return the other jacket. I let the girls ride the train afterwards around the mall. Dad brought home Cous Cous for dinner and we had a mellow evening. Cruz didn't get home until about 7:45 and he was pretty beat! Kelley sent me the pictures of the boys skiing, so fun!
