My friend Bobbi called me last week during the week and said we had to get tickets to go to Cinderella for opening night, Friday night (last night). Her friend ending up purchasing 20 tickets for all of Bobbi's family and 2 for us. I was thinking about taking Lexi and having her sit on my lap but I didn't know how strict they would be and I also didn't know if she would be scared in the movie, so she got all "princesses up" with Alegra and I, but then we ended up leaving her home with Shawn and Cruz. So Bobbi was like, "we have to get all dressed up". I kind of thought that was the "thing" for the movie and everyone would be like a princess. So, on Friday afternoon the girls and I went to DI to look for a fancy princess type dress. I tried on several and we found one that fit and looked pretty princessy. The shopping part was really fun with Alegra and Lexi, Alegra was pretty opinionated on the matter! Luckily the dress was $10. I had long white gloves from my mom and Alegra and Lexi both have several princess dress up dresses. I had talked to Bobbi earlier in the day and found out she had spent several hours and money finding the actual "Cinderella" dress for her and her girls. I knew I was going to look shabby compared to her, but I had bought the dress and the girls were excited!! We had fun getting all gussied up!!! Alegra and I left but ran into terrible traffic, but luckily we still made it to the Thanksgiving Point theater in time. I knew I was in trouble when I didn't see 1 other mom or for that matter girl dressed up. Oh well! We had fun. We had to wait in the lobby for about 10 minutes for Bobbi and her family. We got lots of looks but mostly people were saying, "how cute"! It was such a great movie and a fun night with Alegra. Although it was a bit out of character for me, I am so glad we made such a memory of it!!
