After we got home from apple picking, we quickly packed up our bags and Shawn, me, Leigh, and Brian headed for Chicago. It took us 2 hours to get to the city with some traffic. We got to the city about 5:15 and checked into our hotel, The Hard Rock, right on Michigan Avenue. We basically put our stuff down and walked around the city until 6:30 when we met my friend Jenny Maloney and her husband for dinner at a Mexican place Jenny had chosen. Once we got into the city I started remembering lots of places I love to eat when I am in Chicago, but when I was talking to Jenny a few weeks before I couldn't think of one place. We ate dinner and then Mike drove us all to Navy Pier for Ryan's show. Earlier on Saturday Ryan had received a letter from the Mayor naming October 17th-Kaskade Day in Chicago. Pretty cool. We got up to the green room area by about 8:30 p.m. Ryan was in a meeting when we got there so we just went to another green room. We just hung out and Ryan eventually came by to say hi and then some of Ryan's friends that I know came by too. Ryan wentt on at 9:50 which came quick. It was an AMAZING show!!! I was so glad we could be there. The show ended at 11:30pm due to a noise ordinance at Navy Pier. After the show we hung out for a bit, said bye to Ryan, and then took off for the hotel. Ryan played another show that night till 4 a.m. and then was on a plane, I was excited to be able to go to bed :).
