St George

Stacey and Esme invited me and the kids to St. George for UEA (our fall break).  I ended up checking the kids out an hour early on Wednesday and Stacey and Esme picked us up.  We hit the road.  I'm glad we got an early start because we had traffic but not stop and go to get to St. George.  We stayed in Stacey's parents home.  It was so much fun!!!

When we got to St. George we fed the kids a quick dinner and then we went to the pool for the home  complex.  They have an indoor and and outdoor pool.
On Thursday we went to this cool park in the morning. It was called Thunder Junction.  It was a huge park, splash pad, and an train ride for a $1.  It was nice out, not too hot and not too cold.
We came back to the house and had lunch and then we went on a hike.  We thought there were waterfalls (which there are in the spring) so we wore suits.  There was no water but it was still a beautiful hike!!
Lexi's signature "thumbs up".  She did this the whole weekend, it was so cute!

On Friday we swam outside in the outdoor pool in the morning. It was so fun.  Then we went out to this place called Glitter Mountain or Crystal Mountain.  Not sure how I feel about this still but we took hammers and the kids hammered out gypsum rocks from the mountain.  It was off the beaten path but there were lots of people out there doing it too.  Cruz absolutely LOVED it.

On Saturday we played around the house and in the backyard at the pond/stream that runs through Stacey's parents backyard, then went to a 2:00 Lego Ninjago Movie.  After the movie we went to the pool.  Cruz ended up staying home because he wasn't feeling well, and then he ended up have the stomach flu-major.

We had fun doing crafts (mostly pearler beads), making s'mores at night, playing pie face, spoons, having dance parties, and just having fun.  The last picture is of Cruz napping after his bout with the stomach flu. Unfortunately, Esme got it in the middle of the night Saturday night and on the drive home Sunday morning. But other than the sickness hiccup, it was such a great time.  The nice thing was Stacey's parents don't have WIFI so the kids literally played the entire time.  No screens, which was amazing!  Some of the nights we would turn on a DVD, but they all watched it together, instead of each being on their little devices.  Honestly though, it was heavenly having them just run around and play!!!
