We had Alegra's baptism on Friday, November 24th, 2017. It was a bit tricky having it the day after Thanksgiving, I just had to be real organized and have everything ready by Wednesday. The morning of her baptism Shawn and I got up early and started getting food ready for the luncheon that was at our house afterwards. We chopped lettuce, peeled avocados, cut fruit and limes. Before the baptism Shawn ran to Cafe Rio to pick up the meat, rice, salsa, and dressing. The baptism started at 11:00 a.m. Rich and Katie's family came (since they were in town), the Rali's came, Hornings, the Wickens, the Butterfields from our ward, Sue Eixenberger, Nicole Gabler, and the Meeks (Alegra's other teacher and brother Meek conducted). It was a really nice baptism. Rich talked on baptism, I talked about the Holy Ghost, Russ baptized and confirmed her, and grammy gave her testimony.
Such a special day and the spirit was so strong.
Alegra got a bit nervous before her baptism started but she did great.
Afterwards we had lunch at our house. We did a Cafe Rio style salad or burrito with all the toppings. Because it has been so warm, the kids were able to jump on the trampoline and play outside.
