Book Club Lunch

We weren't sure if we were going to head home from Idaho on Wednesday night or Thursday, but when I got the email from Ms. Walker that book club lunch was on Thursday, I knew we had to get Lexi there.  She worked so hard during quarantine to get extra reading minutes.  She finally had enough to earn a spot in book club lunch.  There were 5 other kids there.  Ms. Walker had this special book club lunch each month during the school year but Lexi never got enough minutes to go (it is like 30 minutes of reading a day).  Finally during our off time for Coronavirus, Lexi did it.  We ate a socially distanced lunch and Ms. Walker had drinks, chips, and cupcakes for the kids.  Then we played Tenzi and she had prizes.  When we left Ms. Walker had a goodie bag for each of the kids.  It really was so cute to watch Lexi and know how proud she was to be there.
