Idaho

We went up to Idaho on Friday May 29th, 2020 after the kids drove by their teachers to say goodbye.  It was so nice to get up to Idaho and feel kinda isolated from everything.
On Saturday we worked in the yard in the morning and then in the afternoon we went out on the lake.  It was pretty but the water was so cold.
Lexi really wanted to wakeboard so Shawn showed her how to at first from the boat.
Getting ready to go out.

She jumped in the water and wanted to come right back in. It seriously is like 50 degrees.  It is so cold.  I'm so proud of her, she stayed in the water and got up for a split second.

Sisters
Grammy was so happy to be around people.  This Covid thing is so hard on people that live alone!!!

On Sunday we had our at home church.  Shawn did his crazy loop of leaving from the house, going up and over 2 passes to Jackson Hole through Hoback Junction and then home along the Palisades Reservoir-107 miles!!!  It took him 7 hours ride time!  That afternoon/night we had s'mores! Yum!

On Monday we took the paddle boards up to Big Elk and messed around on them in the afternoon.

Tuesday we went up to Victor and rode the bike path from Victor to Driggs.  We didn't quite make it to Driggs before Lexi had a melt down.  Alegra and I peddled fast back to the car.  Grammy stayed with Lexi and Cruz almost went to Driggs and then came back and waited with Grammy and Lexi till we came back with the car.  I was proud of everyone but especially Lexi and Grammy.  They both did great on the trail.

We were right by Darby Canyon and Campgrounds after the ride so we went and explored up there. My mom went to Girls Camp at this campground 60 years ago.  It is such a pretty campground and area!
After Darby we stopped to get milkshakes and pulled pork sandwiches!!
We were packing it in on Tuesday.  That night the winds had died down so we took the boat up to Big Elk.  We were the only boat on the lake. It was like having our own personal lake.  Lexi wakeboarded again (she attempted getting up twice).  Cruz wake boarded.  Alegra went behind the boat on the paddle board and just messed around on the paddle board.  Shawn barefoot water skied and I wake surfed once.  The water was too cold to stay in any longer!  It was such a pretty evening (minus the mosquitos).

On Wednesday the girls went on the Palisades hike.  We made it up about a mile and a half.  Halfway between the first and second bridge.  They all did great.  Cruz and Shawn worked back at the cabin taking down the front fence.

Wednesday night we headed home.  We had so much fun up there.
