Memorial Weekend 2021

We left for Idaho on Friday afternoon.  Grammy took flowers up to Grandpa Gary's grave in the morning while Alegra went to soccer training.  Then we took off for Idaho right after lunch.  We made it up to Idaho Falls and bought some flowers to put on Grammy's parents grave - Phyllis and Marion Ernest (M.E.) grave. Ate dinner at Olive Garden per Alegra's request and then headed on to Swan Valley.  The valley was so pretty-lush and green!  We had a great weekend cleaning up the cabin, doing yard work, making sure the boat was working, and hanging out!

Random photo from Micki, Brinda, and my ride on Wednesday. We did Mormon Pioneer and Micki got a flat.  Brinda showed us the way and fixed the tire.  I ended up totally bonking on the ride, so I need a redo!!

End of School Week

Thursday was the last day day of school for the girls!  They survived this challenging year!
I had to run into the school to get a picture of Alegra with her teacher.  Alegra was originally assigned to Mrs. Smith but then with Covid got switched to Mrs. Zisakis but then mid year more students were coming back from online and so they brought Mrs. Smith back to being a regular teacher (instead of online) so Alegra was switched back to her class. I am so proud of these kids for being flexible in such a tough school year.
Graduation for Grant and Sesario-the Giants!!
Lunch at PennyAnn's on Thursday after school got out at 1:00.  I love these kids so much!!! So proud of their school year.   It was a crazy one, that's for sure!!!

Church and graduation ceremony

We went to church today and it was the first time for me without a mask.  The leaders are following CDC guidelines and if you have been fully vaccinated you can take your mask off now.  After church we went to Raddon't for an early sandwich bar dinner.  Georgia's graduation ceremony was being held virtually, so we watched that with them and when they said her name we all cheered!!!

Graduation party

After 4 games we all brought a change of clothes and went to Raddons for a graduation dinner and a ice cream truck dessert.  Sesario and Grant are graduating on Wednesday from Brighton and Georgia graduated virtually from SVA, her school in New York City.  It was such a fun, busy day yesterday.

End of Season Scrimmage and Party for Alegra's Team

Yesterday Alegra had her last game of the spring season at 2:00 too, the same time as Cruz's.  I hate it when their games are at the same time. Shawn took Alegra to her game.  I ran over after Cruz's game because I had all the ice cream and cookies for the end of season party. I was hoping to catch the tail end of her game but parking was a terrible at Butler yesterday so I made it just when the game ended.  After the game we had a players vs. parent scrimmage. It was so fun.  Then I had brought some ice cream and crumble cookies and we gave the coaches a gift. It was a fun afternoon!!!  My pictures loaded funny.

this was at the end

This was before her game, a teammate snapped this, they painted up their faces for the game. They won 1-0.  Alegra won women of the match, so she must have had a pretty good game.

Cruz's LAX fest

Yesterday was LAX fest, where teams were lined up all day to play in tournament style games -having at least 2 games in the day.  Cruz's first game was at 2.  They played Lone Peak. Unfortunately, they didn't win, so they played the other losing team in his category.  They should have beat Lone Peak, Cruz and his team didn't come out playing too strong.  The second game was at 3:30, but I couldn't stay to watch that because I had all the stuff for Alegra's end of season party, that was starting at 3:00 ish.  Grammy ran over to Cruz's second game and he said they played better. They lost but they scored a lot more and Cruz got a goal.

FACE OFF!!!!

Lexi's last Rec Soccer Game

Coach Jim is taking these girls to competition soccer as the Stars FC.  They will register next week, start playing friendly's this summer, and then be in competition soccer this fall.  Lexi is excited.  They beat the team yesterday 13-0 and Lexi made a goal at the end.  She is usually defense but he pulled her up at the end of the game and she scored!
