The "BLUR" of January

Pictures loaded backwards...but that is OK. The top picture is a good description of this month.....it started out great. We were able to go to Mexico with my whole family and that was such a miracle.  We landed on January 1st, with Omicron making a total surge. I was kinda undeterred because I was so happy we were able to make it to Mexico.  Cruz was back in school 1 week when he came home on Thursday and said his throat hurt.  We sent him to his room but he continued to play lots of xbox so we weren't really sure How sick he was, but we did know Omicron (covid) was spreading quickly.  We took him to the District office on Monday morning because he was still complaining of a sore throat, we almost made him go to school but then we decided to wait till the test result. At 8:30 they called me and told me he was positive for covid.  A few days later Alegra came home  from school saying her throat was sore.  We took her to get a rapid test first and it came back negative, but I was suspicious since we had covid in the house. Later that day I took her for the spit test. Our results didn't come back on that for 5 days but she was positive.  She mostly hung out in her room too, but we weren't super strict. We had kinda decided we just might all get it.  Then a few days later Shawn started getting a sore throat and he tested positive.  Then just last Tuesday Lexi woke up and was super stuffy.  I looked at her and she looked sick. I decided to go get her tested, and she was positive.  Lexi was sick right before Mexico and we had her tested 4 times because I was so upset about the possibility of not going to Mexico and she tested negative but when she wasn't getting covid in my mind I had decided she probably did have covid that first time around.....but then she fell.  So far, I have felt really great and I slept with Shawn the entire time he had covid. Either I had enough antibodies or I had it and I was asymptotic. I did one spit and one rapid test in this blur or 3 weeks but they both came back negative.  So January has definitely been our families COVID MONTH!!!  Kinda a blur!
ALegra and I went skiing yesterday morning!

Lexi's teacher sent her a science video and she spent 2 days making different science experiments, it was nice because it took her mind off of being sick!

Alegra, our tweenager, getting ready for bed!

Sick pictures I found on my phone!

Lexi and I skied last Saturday when the rest of the family was home sick (not knowing she was going to get sick)

The first week of January Lexi was able to get her first guitar lesson in.
My 47th birthday....a quarantine birthday, again!  Cruz was positive at this point so we just kept him away, and we were waiting for Alegra's test result :(
