We had a nice relaxing Thanksgiving break at home. We skied a bit, went to a couple of Alegra's futsal games, shopped a bit on black Friday (truly crazy), played basketball, decorated the house for Christmas, and watched a few movies. Tonight we got matching pj bottoms to kick off the Christmas season. We had fun doing "forced family pictures" but the kids got into it once they had some say in the pictures :).
On Wednesday the girls and I did a little shopping and Lexi had a basketball clinic that she attended. Cruz went skiing with his friends at Snowbird!
We had Alegra's 13th birthday party on Monday night November 21st, the eve of her birthday. The Quilters, some friends of ours own an Axe throwing place. I called Jennifer to inquire about it and she offered a private party deal, so we jumped at the idea. I was a bit worried but Alegra liked that it was something different and something no one had done for a birthday before. There were 15 girls that were able to make it, there were 2 that couldn't come. With Alegra's birthday, it is tricky being so close to Thanksgiving, people do leave town. I was happy as many girls could make it that did though. We had the party from 5:30-7. Shawn brought pizza from The Pie (Alegra's request) and donuts that we stacked as her birthday cake. Aaron, the gentleman that worked at the Axe throwing was great with the girls and really helped explain things and keep an eye on things so no one got hurt! Alegra really had fun. Once they threw for a bit Cruz had the idea to do a tournament, and that made it super fun! I was happy because Alegra seemed very pleased with her party!
