The girls and I were able to see the moon go in front of the sun yesterday for an eclipse. It happened at about 10:15 a.m. It was amazing. It got a little darker and colder as the moon covered the sun. Without glasses you really couldn't see what was going on. You could tell it was darker/grayer out. But when you put the eclipse glasses on, it was amazing!! We didn't get the full ring of fire effect (we would have had to go to southern utah) but it was still incredible.
I had done a beautiful fall mountain bike ride earlier up the Quarry, but it was chilly so I was trying to warm up.Meanwhile the boys went up to Idaho to winterize the boat. It is easier to winterize if the oil is warm so they took the boat out, had lunch, and they actually both surfed without getting wet!! Went off the back of the boat, amazing!
