Rebecca and her kids had a very scary and miraculous evening last night. Rebecca was at a country club pool with her friend Wendy and her kids. It was right before Rebecca was leaving and Wendy and Rebecca were arguing over who was going to pay the food bill for the afternoon at the pool. Heath (2) picked up a swim board and went into the water without Rebecca seeing him. He was 2 feet in front of the lifeguard. The lifeguard saw him go into the pool but then looked away. A patron at the pool ran and grabbed Heath out of the water. He was floating on his back but his head was under. His lips were blue but when they pulled him out he immediately started coughing and crying. On the way home Rebecca called her pediatrician after hours number. They told her to call an ambulance. Since she was in the car she decided to just take him to an insta care. When I tried to find her the nearest one to Parleys Canyon, I called and they told me she needed to take Heath immediately to the ER. So, she went to St. Marks. I met her there and took the other 3 kids back to my house for food and to play before taking them to Grammy's to put them to bed. What they worry about is called Secondary Drowning, which I guess is common. Rebecca and Heath were at St. Marks till about 9:00 p.m. They ran a bunch of tests and did a chest Xray to make sure his chest was clear of water. Heath was happy and chasing the kids when I went into the waiting room and luckily everything checked out he was o.k. A MAJOR MIRACLE!!!
