We hosted Christmas Eve at our home. Russ and all his kids (except Sesario) and Grammy came over. It was such a fun night. We had chips and salsa, a veggie tray, and a hummus dip and pita chips for appetizers. Then Grammy ordered Lou Malnatis Pizza that we cooked and I served that with a spinach, pomegranate, cottage cheese salad. After dinner we had a gingerbread house making competition. We had 4 houses with 4 teams and gave them 25 minutes to complete the houses. I was impressed with the creativity. Then we played a different version of white elephant with candy bars. I thought it was a good change up but everyone said they prefer white elephant to that or LCR. Then we played this balance game with the shopping bag. That was so funny. We wrapped up the evening with Christmas cookies, ice cream and eclairs. Then we ended the evening talking about Jesus birth and showing a video. It was such a fun night. I was so happy after everyone left the kids pitched in to help get our house back clean. We then played "farkel" as a family and hanging out before heading to bed. I love Christmas time!
