My dad has been struggling with his health for the last 3 months. It started off with him feeling off balance. His balance continued to get worse and his mind started being affected. Doctors seemed stumped as to what was causing this. As of last night, the doctors are 99% certain that he has a Prions Disease or more specifically CJD. This is a rare disease....my dad had a greater likelihood of getting struck by lightning. We are sending tests to a clinic in San Francisco that specializes in this disease. We should be able to find out more information from them. I did start a web page to keep people posted on my dads condition. I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. Parents are precious and we never imagine life without them. I've never heard of this condition but I wish you all the best during this challenging time. Love ya!
