Despite the winter, snowy weather for May 1st, we had a pretty fun filled day of activities. Dad got up and left with his friend Jeff about 8 am to go to a Mountain Bike Race. At 9, the kids and I went to the finish line of the neighborhood fun run. Our neighborhood sponsored a 1 mile and 5K race. It was fun to cheer on our fellow neighbors. The kids and I came home and packed up the truck and headed out to 5 mile pass, where Shawn was riding. It took us about an hour to get there and luckily both Cruz and Alegra took naps. We waited patiently for dad at the finish line. Cruz actually had a blast because we brought his blue bike and he had fun riding around in the dirt. It was a perfect place for him to practice going over little hills and bumps. Jeff and Dad did great, they rode 23 miles and we got there in time to see them both cross the finish line....in rain and snow!!

Another shot of ShawnWhen we got home Cruz and Dad headed up to Snowbird to get some fresh powder and Alegra and I went to the grocery store to get "the goods" for Cruz's birthday bash tomorrow! I am baking the cake right now (hopefully it turns out) and Shawn and Cruz just ran over to grammy's for a little hot tubing! Like I said, we have been on the run all day!
Cruz is now skiing without his edgy-wedgy and he is going pretty fast and hitting the bumps!
