We drove to Fruita Colorado this past weekend to do some camping and get some mountain biking in. Shawn was able to come home from work at a decent time on Friday so we were able to be on the road by 2. That was nice because we still had light to set up the tent. Our friends Doug and Terena were holding a spot for us along with several other of their friends. This was our first camping trip as a family and it went o.k. We didn't take the pack in play for Alegra which was a big mistake. She had a very hard time sleeping and I think part of the reason was because she is so used to her crib. Plus it was fairly chilly both nights and I wasn't sure if she was too hot or too cold. Saturday Shawn and I both got to do a ride on some great trails in the area. Cruz loved playing in the dirt, riding his bike, and making friends. Cruz slept surprisingly well, even with Alegra screaming about every hour. It was fun to get away for a bit and have some family time!
