General Conference and sledding

Lauren and Alegra watching the boys sled!

This weekend was the LDS semiannual General Conference. Every 6 months in April and October members and non members of the LDS church get to listen to counsel and advice given to them from the prophet and apostles of our day. In Utah, since there is a large concentration of Mormons they actually air the conference on t.v. It is nice to be able to stay in your pj's and listen. It is always a good reminder to me of how I can be better and things I need to be doing. Between sessions yesterday, my friend Lindsey came over with her two kids, William and Lauren and the 2 of us took all the kids sledding ay the little sledding hill right next to our home. We happen to get over a foot of new snow the night before and all day Sunday it just snowed. It felt more like winter yesterday than spring. The kids had a blast in the snow.

Update on sickness.....Alegra finally stopped having diarrhea on Saturday (we have washed so many poppy things, it is crazy!). Shawn started feeling weird on Saturday night and ended up having this weird achy thing for about 24 hours. I never ended up getting a sinus infection but last night at about 5 I started feeling all achy. I unfortunately picked up whatever Shawn had. I must say, it was totally weird. Neither of us ever threw up but our muscles got so sore and achy I could hardly move. I am feeling better today, still a little out of it, but at least the achy-ness is gone away. Hopefully we are in the clear for a little bit now!
