THANKSGIVING AND PARTY DAY!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day and we truly have so much to be grateful for. Cruz and dad started the day off bright and early with a bike ride up to Temple Quarry. Once they got to the trail they climbed on some of the boulders that were in the area. They had a really fun time.

I worked on getting some yams and a yummy marshmallow salad put together. At 10 we all went over to a field near Russ and Ali's home for a Turkey Bowl. Back in Chicago it was my dads tradition to put together a turkey bowl. It was usually freezing so it was a nice change to have it quite balmy in Utah. Russ invited some neighbors and some family friends that just moved to Utah from Chicago. Dad and Cruz had fun playing but Cruz just mainly stood in the middle of the field, it was kinda funny.

We came home to watch some Packers and have some rest time. It was warm enough for dad to go on a bike ride. About 3 p.m. we headed to Grammy's for a big Thanksgiving feast. Ali made stuffing and a peach dish, I made a salad dish and yams, and Gram did the rest. She really outdid herself, everything tasted AMAZING!

After dinner Alegra opened her birthday presents. Cruz was really into helping her! :) I also had made a "big cupcake" and we sang to Alegra. All and all it was a very nice Thanksgiving Day. I am so grateful for family, friends, my children, my husband, our comfortable living situation, our health, and my husbands job!
