Adjusting

I LOVE this picture!!!

It has been 5 days since Lexi has been in our life. So far so good! :) The kids both LOVE her and they want to hold her, touch her, and snuggle her. We have really been working on trying to be soft. Cruz understands but he thinks he is a big guy and he wants to pick her up by himself all the time. I have tried explaining that her neck really doesn't have muscle yet and that mommy needs to help. Mr. "I can do it by myself" is having a hard time with that concept. Cruz loves to hold her though and he does a very good job. He is very very sweet with her. It is amazing to see the difference between when Alegra was born and when Lexi was born and the difference in Cruz. Alegra is more like Cruz was when she was born. I am extremely nervous when she is around her. She likes to be right in Lexi's face and poke her. She loves giving her kisses but she just doesn't understand she needs to be so careful. Shawn's parents are here and it has been nice to have them distract the kids so I can nurse in some peace and quiet. Ever day gets better and every night Lexi is doing better at sleeping, so I am feeling more rested. I would definitely say she has her days and nights confused. Last night was better and she slept pretty well until 4:00 and then we were up until about 7:00 (with nursing breaks at 11:00, 1:30, and 4:00).

Cruz has been so cute with her. I feel bad, I don't have a picture to post with Alegra and Lexi, I think because when Alegra is holding her I am right there to protect Lexi :) !
Our sweet baby girl!!!
Grandma Frye and Cruz went on a little hike up Bell Canyon yesterday while Alegra and Lexi and I took a nap! It has been so gorgeous since I have gotten home from the hospital. That has been nice because G & G Frye have been able to take the kids outside to play!
Grandpa Frye is known for his popcorn making skills. The kids really enjoyed shoveling it into their mouth last night!

Shawn's work sent me a beautiful bouquet of flowers at the hospital and then my mom sent some to our home. I LOVE both of the bouquets but my moms is so pretty with all of the pinks. I can't believe she remembered to send it before she left the country (5 hours after Lexi was born)!
Oops I just looked back and I already posted about this, lets just say "lack of sleep"! :)
