Grammy slid! and Turkey Dinner!

So Shawn and Alegra were out this morning to pick up Alegra's ear infection medicine and Grammy was on her way over to pick me up from church. She ended up hitting black ice on her hill headed toward the gate.....in a quick second she decided to pull right instead of going right into the gate. The amazing thing, she was alright and the car was alright. Grammy had to crawl over to the other side to get out because a pine tree was blocking her door, and when she got out there was a big ditch so she fell into snow that was up to her armpits...in her dress! Luckily she was o.k. and we were all able to laugh about it tonight. Shawn was just headed home so I called him and had him go over and help pull her car out. The guys were there to plow the road to and they ended up being a big help too. Thank you guardian angels! Shawn captured some photos. Tonight we had a "mock" Thanksgiving dinner...actually it WAS our Thanksgiving dinner. Russ, Ali, and kids are going to Hawaii for the week of Thanksgiving and I am not sure what Grammy and us are going to do.....maybe head to Idaho, but we won't do something as large of scale as tonight. We had it all, Turkey, stuffing, potatoes, gravy, sweet potatoes, beans, rolls, marshmallow salad, and apple pie....IT WAS SO DELICIOUS, but now I am so full! We all said what we were grateful for. Cruz=turkey, electricity, and gum. Alegra=daddy. Shawn=our home. Me=an uncomplicated pregnancy, a sweet birth, and a lovely little girl Lexi!
