Lexi's 1st Birthday

Today is Lexi's 1st Birthday but we had a celebration for her on Sunday. We had lots of family over for her birthday. Rick and Kathy Frye were still in town, they gave her a little stacking toy, some pants (since she is crawling she is wearing out her knees of her pants), a bib and matching baggy that Kathy made. Fran, Steph, Wyatt, Walker, and Lucy came over earlier for a pizza dinner and stayed for the party of cake and ice cream. My mom came over with Rebecca. Grammy gave Lexi a 1st birthday pink Teddy Bear and some Salt Water White Sandals. Rebecca gave Lexi some neon colored onesies for summer. Russ, Ali, Georgia, Macy, Grant, and Walt came over for the birthday cake celebration too and they got Lexi a cute top and skirt for summer. Cruz and Alegra gave Lexi a book and Shawn and I gave Lexi a mirror to put in the minivan so I can see her and a bubble machine blower. I didn't go to overboard on gifts, since she doesn't know the difference any way. I did go overboard on decorations, but I LOVED every bit of it. Her theme was pink with white polka dots. I had wrapping paper, big tissue paper balls hanging from the ceiling, a pink and white polk a dot banner, pink plates, pink forks, strawberry milk, strawberry ice cream, a white cake with pink dots, some pink and white boxes for popcorn and smaller boxes for tootsie rolls (for a take away). I thought it looked super cute.

Our little lady is getting more daring and loves to open drawers and pull things out. She can pull herself up to a stand but hasn't tried to walk yet. She seems more petite than Cruz and Alegra at this age. She is very easy going and goes with the flow. She loves her pact. She is a pretty good eater, doesn't like strawberry's though. She likes to say "giggle giggle" "mama" and "ball".

Here are some pictures from the party.

I had made the cakes on Saturday and then Shawn helped me decorate the cake on Saturday night. He is usually the one to put the frosting on and do the decorating on the kids cakes for their birthdays!

Lexi didn't get any HUGE gift, I just asked for a bunch of boxes at Target and they gave them to me. I thought they would be good decorations, and at this age all they really like doing is the unwrapping and playing with boxes anyway!

I made a lemon buttercream cake for her birthday. It was pretty sweet, Lexi really didn't care for it, BUT I had pink strawberry ice cream to go with it and she LOVED that. I am so grateful to have my 3 babies in my life!!!
