LAGOON 2013

We had a great day at Lagoon yesterday. Me, Lexi, Cruz, Alegra, and Grammy all went.  We got there right at 11 when the park opened.  We didn't buy Lexi a pass (which was a mistake), we should have because she really enjoyed going on the rides.  We bought her individual tickets for the rides, so she did go on her fair share.  She loved it though.  We went on Bulgy the Whale, the Teacups, the Merry Go Round, the one like a ski lift (which was a little scary to have Lexi on because she was a wiggle worm).  We ate lunch at Subway in the park and continued riding rides.  Cruz wanted to go on this mouse ride and Alegra wasn't big enough so Grammy took the 2 girls while Cruz and I rode. It scared Cruz a bit.  Lexi rode a few more rides with the kids like the airplanes and helicopters but she was getting pretty tired.  Grammy left with Lexi close to 2:00 and the kids and I went into the pool area.  We cooled off by playing in the lazy river at the pool, swimming, and playing on the slides in the little kid area.  I think this might be my last year but Cruz was totally happy riding the smaller rides and playing in the smaller kid pool area where I could keep a close eye on him.  Part of it might be because we didn't have anybody older to go with so he didn't even realize he could go on the bigger water slides, but I was just fine having him stick close by.  We stayed at the pool for about an hour but then the clouds rolled in and it looked like it might rain.  We decided to throw our clothes back on and go back to rides (incase it started to rain).  We rode Bombora, which is as close to a roller coaster as you can get and Alegra's face was classic.  She said she liked it when she got off but her face was pretty scared during the entire ride. Cruz loved that one.  The kids did bumper cars and played some more games.  The time seemed to fly by. We were headed out of the park when we decided to go on the HUGE ferris wheel.  I really do mean it is so high.  I didn't really think it would be too scary but I didn't realize that a micro burst wind would come up right when we were stopped at the very top waiting for them to unload people.  To say the least, I don't know if we will be doing that one on a windy day EVER again.  We were all at the top praying!!!  We didn't end up leaving Lagoon until 6:45 p.m., that is the longest we have ever stayed there.  I went thru McDonalds drive thru on the way home for dinner, picked up Lexi at Grammy's, quickly gave the kids a bath to get all the Lagoon germs off,  and they sacked out in bed.

Even though Cruz doesn't looked thrilled here, he still does love this ride!

 Lexi in the tea cups!

 Riding the Merry Go Round!
Grammy and Cruz on the ski lift one!

Lexi was such a wiggle worm on the one way, we got off and walked back while these 3 rode back (we needed to go back to the start because our stroller was there).

Cruz and Alegra both wanted their turn to be with Lexi!

All 3 together on the Helicopter ride!
